- or follow the Secret Messages step-by-step guide
- or build on an open source project: fork and edit the Secret Messages repository (add your own twist or change it completely)
What to Submit
- Tag #courier on your project submission
- Link to GitHub repo with code
- [New] For contributions to other open source projects, include description of what specifically your team added within project writeup.
- Short demo video (1-5 mins) of working project
- Optional: if deployed, a link to a working prototype

Courier Hacks: Open Source Winner
Best project that is open source, open to contributions from the developer community, includes clear documentation, and demonstrates proper app-to-user notifications with the Courier API will receive an Apple iPad Mini.
Security Experience
Best project to integrate OAuth and require users to login will receive a $200 (USD) Amazon gift card.
Frontend Experience
Project with the best frontend design and accessibility experience will receive a $200 (USD) Amazon gift card.
Automated Experience
Best demonstration of how apps can help users automate their day-to-day processes. Can but does not need to use Automations API will receive a $200 (USD) Amazon gift card.
Twitter's Favorite
Project most loved by the community will receive $100 (USD) Amazon gift card. Tweet about your project and the tweet with the most retweets wins. Must include project name, and tag #CourierHacks @trycourier in original tweet. Spam accounts and accounts with under 50 followers will not count towards retweets.

Courier Integration
Project successfully integrates the Courier API and demonstrates successful integration of API within 1-5 minute video demo. Project can send any type of messages via the Courier API. -
Demo
Submission includes a 1-5 minute video demonstration of the working project with screen-recording that includes: application sending message(s), user receiving message(s), same message(s) appearing in Courier data log. Video should be uncut. -
Open Source
Is either a contribution to an open source project (show pull request) OR is an open source project. In the second case, project must include instructions on how others can contribute in README.md file on GitHub and must have a license. -
Creativity
Project takes an original approach to a problem. Solution effectively alleviates, solves, or helps the problem it is designed to solve. -
Design
Design is accessible, well thought out, demonstrates smart design choices, and is user-friendly.
