hail!
Hail, cppers. i have a very stupid/idiotic/noobish/stupid question to ask.
First off, let me say this, i have been self teaching me c++ and it has been going great. I have a very high level of understanding (and in fact i read all the compliers posts and had some fun looking at them and see what was wrong when there was something wrong), and well anyways i come to my question(s).
What is the best book that is out there to teach c++?
I ask that because , i had a whim, and bought "c++ for dummies" and i was wondering if there was any other better books out there?
Second, What is the best *free* complier out there, now i use dev c++, and since i really don't know if there is anything better out there; i ask you guys if there is! is there?
Well, its nice to meet u guys; i look forward to talking to u guys alot.
