VC++ and MFC

Could someone recommend either of the following - good tutorial sites for learning the fundamentals of MFC, or a good book for learning the same. Both should provide explanations of precisely what any example code is doing and why, not just throw snippets of code at you and say "face it, this is what you have to do...", and preferably provide a hefty reference section!
