Worse Than Failure.

Alex Papadimoulis, author of the blog Worse Than Failure: Curious Perversions in Information Technology (known until recently as The Daily WTF: Curious Perversions in Information Technology), posted a thought-provoking essay yesterday, titled "What Could Possibly Be Worse Than Failure?", making the point that the IT industry considers any completed project to be a success; that horrible design decisions are therefore considered successful as long as they don't prevent the project from eventually being completed; and that designers reuse these horrible ideas that they think of as having been successful.

I think he makes some very good points, but am curious what you all have to say about it (those of you with programming experience in the industry).
