Mail Client

Hello all!

I'm as new as they come to C++, but am very very familiar with the likes of C# and Java. Anyway, for a mini starting project in C++ I wish to build a simple POP mail client. Can anybody give me any idea of what libraries I should consider using to get underway on this?
