About Centerpointe Dining Commons

Centerpointe Dining Commons is a state-of-the-art, all-you-care-to-eat dining facility located at Building 72, in the heart of the Cal Poly Pomona campus. It was officially opened in January 2020 and serves as a central hub for student dining, offering a modern and welcoming environment for the entire campus community.

Our Food Philosophy

At Centerpointe, dining is more than just a meal — it’s an experience. Our concept of Modern Global Cuisine celebrates bold flavors and culinary traditions from around the world, giving every guest the chance to explore something new while still enjoying their favorite comfort foods.

We’re passionate about sustainability and the story behind every ingredient we serve. That’s why we source as much fresh produce as possible from local California farms — including our very own CPP Spadra Farm — bringing farm-to-table freshness right to your plate.

With a buffet-style setup and multiple stations, students, faculty, and staff can savor a variety of choices that are fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. From global specialties to the classic favorites you love, Centerpointe offers something to satisfy every craving.

Inclusivity & Diversity

Beyond its focus on healthy and nutritious food, Centerpointe is a central gathering place that embraces and celebrates the cultural diversity of the Cal Poly Pomona community. Inclusivity is a core part of its mission, which is reflected in a variety of dining events held throughout the year.

For example, Centerpointe hosts special luncheons and themed menus for events such as Lunar New Year, Cinco de Mayo, APIDA, Black History Month, Womxn’s History Month, and more. These events not only provide unique culinary experiences but also create a welcoming space that honors and celebrates different cultures on campus.

Sustainability & Community

The facility was designed with sustainability in mind and has earned a LEED Gold Certification from the U.S. Green Building Council. Centerpointe is committed to sourcing local and traceable ingredients, including produce from Cal Poly’s own Spadra Farms. A reusable to-go container program is also offered to help reduce waste.
