It was the third & final class with Andy, at The Craft Barn yesterday, & we were given four pieces of foam board to create two aged icons. There was a multitude of embellishments & die cuts to choose from, as well as DecoArt paints & mediums, so everyone made something unique.
Here are my two pieces …

Plenty of DecoArt Texture Sand, & Crackle Paste on the hearts. I love that Green Gold Media Paint!

Another fab trip to my favourite stamp show at Ally Pally, & lovely to see some more friends, & watch Lin Brown on the PaperArtsy stand, showing a lovely, painty background technique with her new paints.
I found some more bargains at Ali Crafts, half price Artistic Outpost stamps sets! I spent a few more pennies at PaperArtsy, of course. Then stopped off at Cass Art in Charing Cross Road (rude not to), for Seawhite A4 Journal, Pitt Pens, & UHU glue sticks!
Off to Church now 🙂

It’s the Big Stamp & Scrapbooking Show at the Alexandra Palace this weekend…Ally Pally to its friends!
I spent a wonderful first day, meeting up with lots of good friends & doing a bit of shopping, of course. As usual, there were some great demos to be seen on my favourite stand…PaperArtsy…Leandra, Jo Firth Young & Liz Borer.
Here’s my Day One Haul…New Ellen Vargo stamps, Finnabair Journals, & other bits & bobs from PaperArtsy; half price Tim Holtz stencils, a reduced Dina Wakley stamp from Ali Crafts, & a few Crafter’s Workshop stencils too.
I’m going back up today, to see more friends & demos, Lin Brown is on the PaperArtsy stand with Leandra today 🙂 No doubt, I’ll find some more bits to buy too!

As my September page for Kate’s Challenge was my DT project for The Artistic Stamper last week, I was only able to show a little sneaky peek. So here it is in its entirety, for anyone that missed it.

For Darcy’s final journalling challenge, we went over some of the techniques that we’d used on previous pages. We made some technique leaves for a tree on our pages, & wrote the technique used inside…
Here you can see the leaves closed, & poked underneath the apples on the tree…
and, of course, The TARDIS made a final appearance, resting on a branch in the tree. Bit of a dodgy landing Doctor!
Hopefully you could read above in the first photo, the techniques I used on the leaves. Here are the techniques I used in my background…
Using a torn paper mask for borders
Stamping into grunge paste
Tinting grunge paste
Stamping & painting tissue paper
Using a brayer to apply paint
Using a ruler to add paint accents
You can see Darcy’s pages and tutorial HERE. Instead of the brick border, I used one of Ellen Vargo’s stamps. I used a Lin Brown leafy stamp for my tree foliage. And, instread of Fibralo pens, I used Fresco paint for my background. I used some Hero Arts stamps to make my quote.

I was thrilled when Elizabeth chose my Butterfly Tag as one of her Dragon’s Dreamboat 3, & I’m very pleased to be joining her today, as a guest designer.
Elizabeth has chosen the letter ‘J’ and Die-Cuts as her theme on Dragon’s Dream Tag It On today, & here is my tag…
My ‘J’ word is Jewels, & so I decided to use some jewel colours ( Amethyst, Bora Bora & Pumpkin Soup Fresco Paint), & also jewel brads.
For my Die-Cuts, I used Sizzix Baroque, Alphabet, & Tattered Lace. The stamps set I used was PaperArtsy Lynne Perrella LPC004.

Wanda Hentges is this week’s main guest designer over on the PaperArtsy Blog, & yesterday she shared a beautiful Autumnal Paper Chime HERE. However, it was the simple card that Wanda made with her leftovers that inspired me to make the following two cards, using a beautiful painty scrap from my stash, the PaperArtsy Heart Die, & words from Sara Naumann’s stamp sets ESN04 & ESN11. I also used some wire mesh, bought from PaperArtsy many moons ago!
On this card, I added some faux stitches with a black pen…
This next one is my favourite, with a wonderful quote by Marilyn Monroe. You’ve probably noticed that I used my painty scrap to clean off a Grunge Pasty stencil at some point, I love this effect!

As soon as I saw Gillian’s gorgeous box canvas on the PaperArtsy Blog on Friday, I had to make my own!
Here’s my version. I used Sara Naumann stamps on my canvas. Sadly, I didn’t have any knob to go on the top of mine, I must get some!

I was inspired to create this tag…
I was first introduced to the technique of removing a layer of paint with water splats last year, by Andy Skinner, & was keen to try it again. I used Bora Bora & Autumn Fire Fresco paint. I left it a little too long though, & some of the water had dried!
However, I persevered, & used PaperArtsy Sara Naumann stamp set ESN09 & some Tim Holtz Idea-ology to complete my tag.
