After an early 5.30am start for work as usual, this morning, I am now home, and hoping to get creative.
I thought I would share an altered book that was done back at the end of November. I was very fortunate to attend a weekend of classes with the lovely and talented France Papillon. I found time, after that madness of Christmas, to add some finishing touches to my book, which I will be art journalling in, hopefully very soon.
Here are a few photos, you can click on them to see more details…

We began by covering our book with some fabulous rusted Japanese Tengusho paper, then added some painty drips.

We distressed the edges of the book pages, spritzing with mica sprays, and added pieces of lace, fabric and rusty tabs.

Lots of lovely rusty elements, and a wonderful vintage image supplied by France. The photo was altered with inks and LuminArte Silks paint, after a covering of beeswax.

More elements, altered with the lovely Silks, including the ribbon and cambric.

I added some coloured microbeads from my stash.
We also did some art journalling, experimenting with some more of Finnabair’s wonderful products, and made some ATCs, using France’s lovely Stampotique stamps, so I’ll share these also, sometime soon.
Have a wonderful 2015!
