I used the last part of my recent masterboard to create a card today. The flowers are made from die cut rusted fabric and book paper. I added doodled stems, and a PaperArtsy quote.
Happy Friday!

I have a little decorated box to share over at That’s Blogging Crafty today. Here’s my sneaky peek, you can see my full project and tutorial HERE.
Before you go, I have another exciting item to share with you.
This Saturday, 30th May, it’s my first ever crafty class at the That’s Crafty Store in Romford, Essex. There are still a few more places left if you’d like to come along. We’ll be making two art journal pages, using Gelatos and Dina Wakley stamps, and You can find full details HERE.
Watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the first time, whilst resting my poorly hands, brought out the inner bohemian in me. I found some earrings and a bracelet I made a few years ago, & made a matching Willow (Buffy’s witchy friend, if you’re not familiar) style choker. Needed a little help wielding the pliers 🙂
Rested my jewellery on some rusted fabric I made this week, inspired by France and Lynne.
Happy Friday everyone!

I’ve just been catching up with a couple of episodes of television dramas centred around the second world war. There have been a few like this, I guess because of the anniversaries this year.
I think this card was inspired by how fragile life really is.
You might recognise the base as part of a masterboard I recently made, & I just stencilled Dina Wakley’s Moon Faces, a Wendy Vecchi word, & added some white gel pen highlights.
I have another finger injury on my right hand, no idea why this keeps happening since the flu virus, but I’m feeling very fragile myself too.
I’m entering my card in the Stamps and Stencils ‘Three of a kind’ Challenge.

Here’s another card, made with part of this masterboard. I used Dina Wakley stamps.
We’re off to see Paul Weller on the Radio Two Jo Whiley show tonight. My clever hubby Graham won us 2 tickets on the Chris Evans show this morning! It was brilliant listening to him chatting to Chris on the radio. Great birthday pressie too, Graham’s birthday is Saturday, & mine is Sunday week 🙂
Have a great day!

Here’s my May calendar page for Kate Crane’s AJ Calendar Challenge. I collaged painty kitchen towel mop ups for the background, then stencilled black paint through a PaperArtsy stencil for the journalling, and through a medieval alphabet stencil for the title. Stamped a grungy Sara Naumann stamp border and added white gel pen doodling to finish.
Thrilled with how this turned out, well worth saving those mop ups!

I found a great tutorial on Ellen Vargo’s blog, using Ranger distress stains and paint dabbers with some of Ellen’s PaperArtsy stamps, to make a fab masterboard.
Here’s my version…
I cut it up into four postcards, that I’ll use to make some cards…
Some of my paint dabbers are rather thick now, but they spread out nicely with the brayer. However, if you click on the photos, you can see that the paint adds some great texture.
Thanks for visiting,
have a creative weekend,

I had fun playing with my Gelli Plate and Dina Wakley paints last week. I spotted this this fab tute by Lisa on the Faber-Castell blog and made a couple of cards with two of my prints, with Grunge Paste and a PaperArtsy Sara Naumann quote stamp.
I still have an injured right thumb, stupidly hurt it again at the weekend, moving stuff around in my craft room! It’s so hard to rest and not do anything…I will never learn! 😦
