OK WORLD - for all of those who think I dropped off the edge of the planet (I kind of did), I am finally updating.
I've been back from Nicaragua for about 122 days - 4 months yesterday on Cinco de Mayo. Best experience of my life - it was very difficult but wonderful at the same time. I'm very happy with how my life has been going since - I have definitely been seeing the blessings for my service over there. The Lord has bountifully blessed my life and I have a lot going for me right now that I don't particularly feel I merit but it is amazing and the opportunities are extraordinary. I am very grateful to the Lord for how He continues to take care of me throughout my life and hope that He can continue to be proud of me as His daughter.
Ok, to catch you all up - I came home, worked at TGI Fridays for 3 months and earned money to pay for school and now I am back at BYU-Idaho for the summer semester. I continue in my degree of Communications but have now switched my minor to Psychology, which I really enjoy. I think it is a good combination of major/minor - I should fit in pretty well in whatever job atmosphere I enter into. Speaking of which - if you know of any great internships out there right now - send their information my way. I'm looking to a learning experience in some kind of professional working atmosphere. I've applied to Southwest Airlines and a few other places and I suppose we will just see what happens. As for news on this front, I was selected for the Denver as well as the Salt Lake Internship Expeditions with the school, which means that I'll be going to those two locations on a special trip to network and see about possible internship opportunities so that should be good.
I was also selected as manager for the Senior Showcase for the Communications Dept. here on campus which means I get to organize this huge professional event for all of the Seniors that we have right now. So that is a huge responsibility and I'm running around like crazy trying to get it taken care of. However not too crazy just yet because it is not until July so we still have time for planning. As far as church goes, I was just called to be the Temple Coordinator with my ward and I may possibly begin working in the Rexburg Temple as well, possibly including some Spanish sessions which would be super awesome.
I'm doing well in my studies and at church and I've been able to reconnect with a lot of old friends. Well, I hope you are all having a magical time as well!! Thats about it for me! Take care!
