The CRREM Pathways are intended to reflect the latest and best available climate science and are therefore subject to change. For example, updates to the CRREM Pathways may be made to reflect new scientific data and discoveries, regulatory changes, and revised projections for energy consumption, renewable power in electricity grids, carbon budgets, and other technological advancements.
The CRREM Pathways are governed by the Technical Council and the CRREM Foundation Board. All changes to the CRREM Pathways or the CRREM Pathway Methodology must follow the approval and adoption protocols defined in the respective Terms of Reference, including for the types of updates described above.
A formal Change & Update Protocol has been developed to guide CRREM’s update frequency, stakeholder involvement and consultation processes, data input criteria, and related considerations. The latest version is available for download below to provide a high-level view of the approach. We welcome your feedback.
