November 2025

Started the first of November with a murder mystery dinner with friends. We seriously had the best time. I was one of the murderes! There was another person who ended up murdering people...

Korra was student of the month!

We did the turkey trot this year! We walked the entire way but we weren't the last ones.

Another fun young women's activity. We had a nerf gun fight. Not enough guns for the leaders to participate, except we did get shot a few times. Had the bishopric come in for a little bit and that was a blast. Korra came to this activity and she had someone's machine nerf gun and she was a maniac with it. 

Could see the northern lights, but I wasn't able to get a good picture of them. I missed the night it was the clearest.

had a sauna/cold plunge night with the girls. I made it the longest in the cold plunge :)

 

 

 

 

Parent teacher conference with Mrs. Green. Korra loves her so much and I have to agree that she is amazing. 

I've been talking to my dad and helping to write his life story. I've been having the best time listening to everything he's done.It's been really special and I;m glad that I get to do this. Now I need to convince my mom to let me do this.

Family movie night...Mulan. So yummy.

Debated do fall colors or not, but it's closer to December than not so I went with Christmas. 

Going Christmas tree hunting! We went to weekend before Thanksgiving and it was nice. Not crowded. There was snow, not a ton but still enough to make it hard climbing up hill. It was really nice weather though, Eric even took his coat off for a little bit.

Korra lost her first tooth! While at church of course. It was ready to come out days ago, but she fought strongly to have it fall out naturally.

Thanksgiving was nice and relaxing. We went to Eric's parents house and ate yummy food. Then we shot guns. Kyla is amazing a trap shooting. I hit one pigeon, she shot multiple in a row. Like a ton. Mia got a few too. I got a giant bruise, Mia a small one and Kyla none. 

We also made bracelets. 

The weekend after Thanksgiving we headed back up to Preston to watch the Festival of Light parade. We looked at the gingerbread houses and ate dinner together and then watched the fireworks and watched the parade. It was such nice weather. Korra and Gwen were in awe of the fireworks.

October 2025

October!!! Such a funny and busy month. We watched a lot of Halloween movies.

Richard's family came down for a weekend during our fall breaks and we had some Halloween fun. The night they got there Rich and I  with Kyla, Mia, Lily, Cambree and Matt went to the scare house on 10th West. They separated us cause we were a larger group, but we didn't know they were going to. Mia ended up with Rich and me. Mia was hilarious to be

 with. She got so scared and screamed a lot. Thought I might get a bruise on my arm from how tight she was holding on to me. This might have to become a new tradition.  

Next day we went to the Pumpkin Walk. 

Then we went to my parents and had lunch, painted pumpkins and played games until it was time to go to the haunted hallow. Again Mia was with me and again she was hilarious. She fell down a few times. I had Kyla with me too and she was not as funny even though she gets startled easily. 

Next day we went and picked out our pumpkins and got ready to carve them.

Had lunch and carved out pumpkins. We went and watched a movie together to end the day. 

Later in the month I went to a fair housing conference. Those are actually so good to go to and I learn lots. Plus I won a gift card. 

Kyla wasn't feeling well one morning, but she said she could take the kids to school still so I didn't have to do it. Ended up in a wreck that was her fault. The other driver was a kid in her grade. She actually has first hour with him. Everyone was fine, no one got hurt. The kid's dad was relaxed and calm so that was nice. Got a police report done, she wasn't given a citation which was awesome and we were all able to drive away. Needless to say though I drove kids to school the next day. 

Had a fun dance fit where we all dressed up. I was Rumi (I did the hair and patterns)

Main Street trick or treating. Korra is the only one who wants to go anymore. Kyla helped me out though since I had to leave a little earlier than it took them. But as you can see from the pictures the weather was fabulous.  

 

 

Family movie night. Hotel Transylvania. Forgot how funny this movie can be. 

Halloween day! Went trick or treating. Mia was a cow, Lily was Rumi and Korra was a witch. She dressed as something different for all the different events she went to. When we did our apartment truck or treat and at school she was a zombie. 

Some one put these balloons all around town.
