As your inaugural Senior Director, I am thrilled to announce the launch of the Center for Undergraduate Research and Creative Inquiry (CURCI)—a bold step in advancing Georgia State’s commitment to student engagement and academic excellence.

CURCI will expand opportunities for mentored research, scholarship, and creative projects, aligning with our Blueprint to 2033 Strategic Plan. By integrating more inquiry into core IMPACTS courses, we aim to prepare students for meaningful research and creative achievements from their first semester through graduation. The Center also plans to offer paid research, travel, and performance opportunities supported by state, federal, and private partnerships. Beyond these experiences, CURCI will host conferences and symposia, showcase student work in dedicated exhibit spaces, and relaunch the undergraduate journal Discovery through our new Inkquiry Publishing House.
