It’s January with Sir Elton and Pilot

This week’s theme is January inspired songs – the month, a name, … Get creative and have fun!

Hello, Monday! Hello, my peeps! Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me!

In 1975,  I was 14. I understand how my first song pick might’ve slipped pass me. “January” #87 on the US Billboard Hot 100 charts in 1976 is the follow-up to Pilot’s #5 US Billboard Hot 100 hit “Magic”. January isn’t about the month but it’s about a girl.

While I understand why the first song is new to me, I’m clueless as to how this one escaped me the first time around.

Everyone has time restraints.  Please if you can, when you add your link to make an honest effort to visit, comment, or click ‘like” to let your bloggy friend know you stopped by. For some a small gesture means a lot and as I’ve said “liking” my post may be the only way I know that you visited. Are you ready? It’s now your turn to share what music moves you!

In yesterday’s post I shared information about Mary from JingleJangleJungle.  Basically she’s not doing well. I am sending Mary a card to let her know that I’m thinking of her and if you would like to do the same, then here is the address.

Since your last visit, my site has moved to a new web host. Due to complications with malware or what have you my images were removed with my previous web host. I’m in the process of adding them back. This will take time, so please continue to hang in there with me. Things won’t be in the same place as before and some elements like email subscription or the “like” button are not available yet. Drop an emoji if you don’t have time or just don’t want to say anything in comments, since you can’t click “like” so I’ll know you stopped by. Thanks for bearing with me while I clear away the dust from all this mess.

Have a boogietastic week!

I recreated the New Year’s Eve penguin that I shared a few weeks ago simply by adding a fellow next to the girl penguin’s side.  Now my sketch is complete!

Good Grief!

Songs to uplift the body, soul, and mind!

No worries, folks! At least I hope there’s not any, as I compose this post ahead in prep for my site transfer while listening to Apple music the song, A Light In Me, piqued my ear. I’d heard it before. I love the vibe and the words spoke to me. I found it (#6 below) on YouTube, as well the Good Grief! album playlist.

On Jervis’ website he says his songs are his prayers that has helped him  through life and he hopes they they’ll do the same for others.

Jesus said in John 8:12 KJV, “… I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”

Jesus is the light of hope and love. In His presence, I can face anything with Him at my side pushing doubt aside or calms my stormy life or gives me assurance whatever comes  it’ll be alright.

I hope you enjoyed the music set. Please continue to keep Mary from JingleJangleJungle in prayer.  BOTB host, Stephen, sent word of her current condition relayed to him by Mary’s cousin.  The doctor is not optimistic of Mary’s recovery.  Due to multiple strokes, she can’t use her arms and is having difficulty speaking and thinking clearly. This is so sad. I hate that this is happening to her. Mary is in God’s hands. Pray for that she’s comfortable and at peace. On a lighter note, I can’t help but think Mary is thinking of something witty to say about the whole scenario, if only her body would cooperate. She’s quick witted and always turns a scour situation into something humorous.

I am sending Mary a card to let her know that I’m thinking of her and if you would like to do the same, then here is the address.

This is a day of rest. There’s no need for words, but you’re welcome to click the like button so I’ll know you stopped by and for early 4Mers or anyone with music, join the party below. I’ll be back in the morning with Monday’s Music Moves Me!

As of late last night, my new host site flipped the switch and I have my content up. A lot of things aren’t perfect, but I’ll tell you more about that later. For now, I am manually approving all comments until I get some things tidied up. Thanks for understanding!😘

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me. Today’s feature artist crossed my ears last year when Lee from Tossin’ It Out shared her music.  I hope you enjoy this playlist!

When my blog was having a nervous breakdown or maybe it was me, I tried editing the 4M prompts widget in my side menu which resulted in it disappearing. I don’t think I will put it back just yet.  However, at the top of my blog (main menu), you’ll see a page dedicated to this year’s music prompts for anyone who want to follow along.  Remember themes are not required, only suggestions for those who need a little help.

In case you messed the newsflash last week, until things get settled with my blog, I am only doing Sunday Songs, 4M posts, BOTB, and since I don’t want my art creations to set idly on the side I will share my illustrations, assuming  they actually display correctly, on Mondays.

In closing I am asking for y’all to keep Mary from JingleJangleJungle in your prayers. She no longer blogs because of her fight with cancer. Apparently she isn’t doing well which is sad new.  Prayers, love, and hugs to you Mary darlin’! Have a boogietastic week!

Beautiful Piano Music

Songs to uplift the body, soul, and mind!

This morning music is a stumble from this past October.  It’s perfect for soothing the mind and soul with the gentle piano tracks. If you need some background music, then this 3 hour playlist might do the trick to help you relax, pray, or contemplate on things going on.

I created a lovely meme for my Bible verse but my site isn’t cooperating with displaying images, so until I can fix it. Here’s the scripture I picked.

Now the Lord is that Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

~2 Corinthians 3:17

Before I go, I would like to ask that you pray for a good bloggy friend who is no longer blogging because of health issues. Mary from Jingle Jangle Jungle has been fighting cancer for several years and I got word from Alana at ramblinwitham that she spotted a FB post regarding Mary’s decline in health. Kindly keep in your prayers. Thank you! xo

Antique Store Browsing

I had forgotten I had this post sitting in drafts. Instead of just letting it stay there, I’m going to share it.  I’m not going to join any linky parties.  It’s too draining for me right now being in the middle of bloggy issues.

Last fall while on vacation, we did some antique store browsing. Frequently, things on display catch my eye. Either a particular thing or how it’s presented seems interesting. I’m not sure any of the images demand a full resolution layout which prompted me to create a collage to keep down the bog on my site and not bore you too badly.

In the wake of the recent bloggy problems and trying to tweak somethings, I discovered a lot of my images aren’t showing up on my site. They appear to be in my media library but show up broken on the viewers  side.

Another thing, this layout has the comments link just below the small circle site vintage girl. Comments are open for 7 days and then closed. I did this with the hopes of keeping spam isolated. Maybe getting the malware removed might keep that problem down. We’ll see, though.

I wanted to give y’all the heads up, especially my artsy friends.  As you may know Rain, hostess of Thursday Art Dates,  has left the blogging community possibly permanently. She’s a fabulous source of encouragement and I’m sure going to miss her. Anyway, after I get my blog home relocated I would like to offer to casually host an art party for those I’ve met through her weekly dates. I’ll keep y’all in the loop when I plan to for this to take place and I hope you tune in to join the fun when it happens.

Next up on CAAC is Sunday Songs. Have a funtastic day!

Awww Mondays – cute penguin sketch reinvented using Brushstrokes

Welcome to Monday’s Music Moves Me!  This week’s theme is new songs past or present.

New songs I stumble on are either old tunes that finally reach my ears or those that I trip upon browsing YouTube and that’s how I discovered the artist Stratilatis. His YT creations are AI assisted. I have a wee problem with this sort of technology because it’s difficult to spot that its a fake, especially if the video has a famous musician featured. However this doesn’t appear to be the case with this creator.  My ears were captivated by Seas of September, which is quite beautiful and while I was all set to let that be my one song pick for today, I found a new song release December Sea,

A new  year means new beginnings. Up until a few days ago, I had infected files on my site prompting Arvixe, my host site, to place restrictions on outbound traffic. This didn’t appear to effect visitors and while I could respond to comments or post, my site couldn’t communicate with WordPress. That’s why some things looked out of sorts.  I changed my theme to a “WordPress.org” layout. One of the themes I had was part of the problem and a few plugins were bad.  I haven’t gotten everything back quite the way I want but will continue working on it, but I most certainly am going to go to a new host site soon.   I hope you enjoyed the music. Have a boogietastic week!

Until I things get settled with my blog, I will only do Sunday Songs and 4M. That being said, I don’t want my art creations to set idly on the side waiting for an opportunity so I will include my illustrations when I have them here.

Same Old Lang Syne BOTB Showdown

This is a quick pull together. I really didn’t know what I was going to do as I stared blank into space realizing I didn’t have anything planned for the start of the new year.  I found inspiration with an oldie, Same Old Lang Syne (reference only) by Dan Fogerty.  An interesting tidbit I learned on Wiki, if it’s correct I can’t tell ya, but it says “The melody is based on the 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky and ends with “Auld Lang Syne” as a soprano saxophone solo by Michael Brecker.” While at Wiki, I noticed Fogerty commented on his website that this song is about him and an old high school sweetheart he runs into one Christmas. Sometimes the new year rushes in those what ifs and had I done this. While I do wish some thing went differently in life, at least I don’t have regrets about who I am spending my life with and am with my true love.

With no time to waste, I’m running with the first two new to me male artists to grab my attention.

Polls close at noon (ET) on the 7th!

You probably noticed things are messed up my blog.  I’m having technical issues and am in the middle of trying to get them resolved. I fear it won’t be a quick fix as it’s taking forever to communicate with my host site.  I created a backup and offloaded post contents to move to an old free private WordPress blog so to not loose anything. Change is coming in Blogosphere for me, hopefully soon. Let’s hope the change is for the better.

That’s it. Now, it’s up to you to tell me in comments who you like and why (optional), then next week on the 8th I’ll drop the results in my comments.  I have a list of fellow BOTBers under the banner to your right in my side menu, if you curious to check out more battles underway. This is CAAC signing off, have a bandtastic day!

Closing out the month and the final birthdays for this year, this is who celebrated growing another year younger. Terry (2nd) from Brian’s Home, Stacy (9th), little ole Me (14th), and Alana(17th).  Happy Birthday, my friends! Please let me know in comments when your next bday takes place and I’ll be sure to include you in the fun.  As usual the year passed by way too fast.  Thanks for making this year and the Christmas season special. Mary Did You Know

Songs that will uplift the body, soul, and mind!

Christmas time has come but it isn’t ever gone for those who believe.  I wonder if Jesus’ mother really understood the fullness of what she was called to do, and the importance of the birth of her baby boy would mean to the world.

This month, I’ve shared Christmas instrumental arrangements. Here’s Taryn Harbridge on the violin playing Mary Did You Know.

This is a day of rest. No comments are need, but if you wish to let me know you stopped by then simply click “LIKE” or leave a smiley icon in comments and for early 4Mers, you’re welcome to link your Monday’s Music Moves Me post below. I’ll be back tomorrow morning for the final twirl on the dance floor for this year. Have a blessed day! xo
