What little girl jumps out of her bed every morning and says hi mom!!! What's for breakfast? Is today a school day? I want to wear my pink dress and tights (again) and on and on and on.
Umm, that would be Alexa. Over in the bed next to hers, big sister covers her head with her blanket and I say, "five more minutes Janelle and then we have to get ready for school". Janelle is just like me in the mornings and Alexa, is exactly like her dad Boo.
So, the school year began about a month ago and I'm just now getting to fill you all in. Alexa is in preschool. She loves her teacher Mrs. Lyons and thinks it's hilarious that Mrs. Lyons has lions in her family
grrrrrr!:). For the most part we have concluded that Alexa's favorite part of preschool is music. She's definitely our theatrical child - constantly putting on song and dance shows for our entertainment. She's also learning to write her alphabet, sound out letters, and color within the lines.

Janelle has been looking forward to kindergarten all year. The day finally came and it took all the energy of my heart to send her off on the first day. She's ecstatic each day she comes home from school and shares all about her day and the new things she's learning - responsibility, manners, numbers, letters and so on. It quickly began to dawn on her that she would have to rise early each day for the rest of her life (except for summer and holidays of course) so her excitement waned a little bit but she still loves it. We are amazed at how much she has grown. Just the other day she earned a noble knight at school ( a reward system for good behavior at
NWA) and when I asked her what she did to earn it, she said, "I put first things first, and I was proactive". That blew me away but I better get used to it because she's only been in a school for a month now. She continues to be very helpful to everyone at home - incredibly kind and well-mannered and eager to learn new things.

Now to our little miss Audrey, who is not so little anymore. She's our self-appointed alarm clock. At exactly 7am each day, she sits up in her crib and begins to whimper or call out in gibberish until I had her her 6ounce bottle of formula. She then watches with curiosity as everyone gets ready for the day giggling and bouncing up and down when we say,"hi Audrey boo boo" or sing her favorite song (which was a favorite for her sisters when they were babies) "don't take your love away, your love away, your love away,
tu dun tun..." (see me for tune;). So Audrey crawls at the speed of lightning. She makes it quite clear that she wants to be independent -- just hand her the bottle and get out of the way because she has things to, such as exploring all corners of the house, eating books, pulling toilet paper, playing in trash cans and you can make up the rest. What can I say, she's a cute butterball of joy and she fills my baby hunger (for now:) and I'm anxious to have more time to do lots of fun stuff with her come January.

And that brings me to my crazy life. I started my last semester of school with fifteen credits and got to drop one that I didn't need and I'm so relieved. I'm basically counting the weeks till I'm done. The girls need me, I need to be with them spending more quality time with them and Boo has been a great sport while I've been back in school but I think
everyone is at the end of their ropes. So let's go, let's go. I usually want time to stand still for a bit but this time I'm in a hurry. Give me all the early mornings and carpool lanes you want but get me out of college. Already. I guess like it or not, I'm a mother to the core.
