Party Like a Pirate

Our good friend Sherwin invited us to his company's moving party (relocating to SF from Burlingame), and with Dan out of town and Mommy looking for something to do with her three munchkins, we headed over. Who knew how awesome it would be??!

The Jamaican Bobsled party happened by, naturally

Wait, I'm sorry, WHAT?!!

I think I've decided: I'm a bird guy

Image
Did I mention they had a live alligator?? (right by the professional sand castle building)

Image
Luke was confused. Ummmm, Mom, why is there a freaking alligator at a work party? Because it's awesome.

This is how to surf like a lady.

Nate catches a wave!

Videogames. That's all you need to sell Nate.

Sylvie was unsure of Captain Jack until his magic tricks.

That's Nate. SLEDDING DOWN AN ICE MOUNTAIN.

Chilling to a steel drum band after downing some pulled pork and artisanal sliders. Not to mention way too many chocolate coins. Luke was refused at the shot bar though, phew!

Thanks Sherwin for the best party! Hopefully these kids remember it.  Why am I wearing two hats?

A Portrait of the Artist

This is the Shutterfly book I made of Nate's Kindergarten art projects. There is an Artists and Authors program at Arundel that I find simply fantastic! They learn about the lives and creative pursuits of various artists and authors and then recreate the art of those artists in the same vein. What do you think?

Z is for Zoo

The SF zoo is pretty darned cool. Especially because we got there 20 minutes before opening and snagged a great parking spot. Let the games begin!

On the train ride around the zoo. There was much waving to passing pedestrians.

Giraffes are real?!?! Seriously?!?

The First Birthday

I never posted this birthday post, it was just sitting there as a draft in my list of posts. I probably didn't post it because blogger sucks, but also because I just don't have as much time to post. You know, with the 3 kids and all.

But I was looking through the blog tonight and playing some of the videos and I miss it, so hey let's give it a whirl. Here's the baby at their first birthday party... a full year ago!! If you didn't notice, or are blind, it's a Dr Seuss theme.

Minnie, their old nanny, made Sylvie's tutu.

The older boys enjoyed some Dr Seuss stories on the telly.

Methinks Sylvie had too much sunscreen on her face. How great is big bro Nate?!

Image
No, I did not make this cake. But I did make the hats!

We had 4 sets of twins in attendance!

I painstakingly painted this Thing 1 / Thing 2 cardboard cutout. Very proud.

Jake got really into planting heffalumps.

Headbangers Ball

The funniest thing I've seen in a while... first I take a video of Luke and Sylvie entertaining themselves at the window.

And then a 'tribute' video surfaced...

Stand and Deliver

We've got two standing 10 month olds! Though Sylvie is fully walking everywhere, Luke's picked up serious steam in the crawling department. And of course they head in different directions.

You're cooking the eggplant all wrong Sylvie!

Watercooler talk: Did you hear who the guest on Sesame Street is tomorrow?!

Flower Power!

Some day I'll have Star Wars Legos too...

No shirt, no pants, no problem.

You know you've mastered standing when you can stand up in a sleep sack.

A Day at the Beach

We went to James Leake's 3rd birthday party, and feeling adventurous since we had made it to the city, we decided to stay and go to Crissy Field. The babies first outing to a beach! And I think their second to the city (after the first with Tante Claire back in mid 2012). We had a blast!

Sand! Give me sand!

Oh yeah, this stuff is the bomb

Image
Don't ever stop giving me sand.

Shark!

Image
I'm full, that sand was tasty!

When are we moving to the city?

Image
SOOO excited to get out of the house!
