i am accepting a challenge given at the october general conference of the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints..... 

i will weekly take one verse of scripture and ponder it..... 

think about it..... 

truly come to understand it as is given to me..... 

by my father in heaven..... 

my first verse is found in the book of mormon..... alma 61:13 "but behold he doth not command us that we shall subject ourselves to our enemies, but that we should put our trust in him, and he will deliver us"

i read this verse during a very challenging time in my life..... 

my tyler was assaulted, the group of boys that did this to him were being initiated into a gang..... 

we did not know who they were only that they attended the same school..... 

when tyler was able to return to school i had a hard time with this..... 

as i was seeking peace from my father i found this verse..... 

an answer to a weary mothers prayers..... 

father hears and answers prayers..... 

i need to listen....

spring.....

another holiday season has come

and gone not to mention new years too and not a single post from me..... 

david & i at a dude ranch for our 33 anniversary get away.....

this past holiday season was a bit challenging..... 

i am working through the changes.....

not always liking them but doing it anyway..... 

i am doing my best to make spring a happy time and turn a "new leaf" as it were..... 

in april david & i are going with leland & lauren to big sur, california for a marathon that leland is running..... 

this will be a great get a-way..... 

i love road trips and a road trip with one of my children can not be beat..... 

i will post more after when we return home..... 

tonight my oldest grandchild is getting baptized..... i am so proud of him for making this decision..... 

i have been asked to conduct the music..... 

better i conduct then play the piano..... 

maybe i should take up lessons again..... 

i have been thinking about doing just that.....

fall.....

hello fall..... 

this is my favorite time of the year..... 

my anniversary is in october...... 

it starts cooling off..... 

i can open my doors and windows..... 

i love the colors of fall..... 

i love the sent in the air..... 

i love pumpkins, changing leaves, football, sweaters, boots..... 

whats not to like about fall.....

fall, i have been waiting for you.....

quinn elyse daniel.....

so many tears..... 

this month has been a rough one for our family..... little quinn was born early..... 

she spent her life in the nicu at banner desert hospital..... 
she passed at 4 days..... 

she left us too soon..... 

she is buried in the mesa city cemetery 
next to her great aunts and uncle: annette (my 2nd to oldest sister) aunt marion ( her grand aunt & uncle buds wife) and her grand uncle bud (grandpa burgess' brother).....

among the cypress trees it is shady and  beautiful.....

one day her great grandpa and grandma burgess will rest there next to her.....

she is  with family this brings not only her mommy & daddy comfort but her grandpa & grandma also.....

she will always be remembered by those of us who love her..... 

there will always be a place in our hearts for her..... 
so precious and loved.....

My "mothers heart" is full as I type this post..... yesterday 13 weeks early my 2nd granddaughter made her grand appearance..... 

we had all been praying that she would stay put a few more weeks..... 

that was not meant to be..... 

so..... 

now she will spend the remainder of her gustation in the nicu at banner desert hospital..... 

i pray that her little body will be strong and that her lungs will improve that she may come home to thrive and be apart of tyler & angie's little family..... 
i pray that tyler & angie will feel the love of our father-in-heaven and know that he is aware of them..... 

i do not believe that is impossible, i just know it will not be easy or quick..... 

the love of family and friends is what is keeping us all going.....

 yesterday was fathers day, what a day it was….. 

i spoke in sacrament meeting…..
 this is not the first time either….. 
my sister robyn brought our  folks out for church, ashley, nick & aleen came to church also….. it it always great having them here…..

we had our children, grandchildren, my folks and my brother and his boys here for dinner….. 

there were 20 of us all together….. 

a house full by my estimation…..

david helped me smoke a pork loin or three for dinner, the girls all helped me put dinner together…..

it was a wonderful day…..

february: i was able to take some friends to the gilbert temple open house, (good) i was involved in a car accident, (bad, a young man tried to beat me through the intersection) it was scary for me…..

march: found us celebrating ashlely's birthday and a road trip to ash fork to look at some property and little david started up his soccer season…..

april: was crazy with a quick trip up to the cousins in fredonia for a loved uncles funeral, while there i learned to drive a horse and buggy it was great…..
