last night was the first opportunity I had of going to a U of A game with David, we have been buying season tickets for the past couple of years and each game he takes one of our children or me.
Off we go to the game in Tucson; we are driving along on the I-10 minding our own business when a big truck pulling a horse trailer in the lane next to us and just ahead looses his transmission. No kidding, it was a very scary thing, David never lost his cool or control of our car as metal pieces and asphalt and tranny fluid are coming at us with lighting speed, (at least it seemed that way to me, seeing as how it was all in my face because I was on the side that the truck was).
A metal gear of some sort hit the front of our car, I will post a picture as soon as we get our car home, along with the gear hitting our car, metal fragments coming up off the road punctured our radiator. We did not know about the radiator until we got off the freeway and onto the streets of Tucson and the car started to overheat. We got off the road and the fluid was just running out from the radiator, needless to say
it was not drivable and we had not yet gone to our game. A friends sister picked us up and took us to the game and after the game our son Leland came and brought us home.
David said that this is the first time something like this has happened and it was the first time I had gone to a game.....
