Excited to join Yuletide again this year! For my gift giver, I apologize that my original sign-up on AO3 had no details as this year’s deadline snuck up on me and I only had time to pick my nominated characters. But hopefully you’ve found this letter that I linked which will give a much better idea of what I’d like and any prompts that can help you write your fic!

Here are some general notes.

My likes:  Gen, romance, humor drama, hurt/comfort, angst, post-canon stories, and canon-divergence AUs, but I also like multiple AU settings done in creative ways, even if it’s in a mundane environment (so I’d be okay with a coffee shop AU!) I also love well-done character introspection, worldbuilding or exploring a certain aspects of lore in the canon and pre-canon, missing scenes, emotional connections between characters, as well as creative writing styles. Give me your most fun time writing something and I know I’ll love it! I am also okay with smut, and for some chosen fandoms, would love to receive higher-rated works very much. (For one fandom, I also just love wing kink). I also very very very much love mutual pining, slow burn, and a highlight on codependent relationships. These are serotonin to me.

My dislikes: Please don’t include character bashing, non-con if it’s not requested, sex/gender headcanons that are different from their original canon portrayal, reader-insert POV, watersports, mpreg, most A/B/O aspects (I’m very picky with it anyway) and any references to real-world issues. For any NOTPs listed in my requests, please do not include them or even give any references to them.

Tales of Symphonia

DNWs: My big dislike for this fandom is Lloyd/Zelos and Zelos/Colette and I would prefer to not see these ships mentioned or referenced to at all. I don’t mind Zelos being part of a fic, but I ship what is considered canon for this game, which include Lloyd/Colette and Zelos/Sheena. To be safe, I would prefer Lloyd/Colette with no other conflicting ships.

Characters: Lloyd Irving, Colette Brunel

Tales of Symphonia is a game dear to my heart and I’m so psyched that it’s qualified for Yuletide! I’ve only picked two nominated characters because I will be honest, these are the two I will always want fic of the most, especially as a ship. I want to see this ship explored through other writers and read their take on them. I believe a lot of people see them as the cute fluffy ship but they really go through so much heartache and struggle through the game, and both Lloyd and Colette have (even if not meaning to) hurt each other by not being truthful with each other. I am also deeply interested in reading smutfic with them, so much. I personally think they bang like rabbits. It’s not a requirement, but if smut writing is what you’re comfortable with, I would love it for Lloyd/Colette. I do happen to write them a lot, with a lot of similar ideas that I will mention later as prompts, but I love the idea of two cakes. Give me your version! There is never too much of an idea, I always want more of it!

Symphonia is also just so fun with AU’s, and I don’t mind a modern take on the world! Lloyd and Colette growing up in a smalltown, Colette saddled with religious expectations that go over Lloyd’s head, how they explore their relationship with each other when overtones of those expectations (and other difficulties, like Lloyd living in a more isolated place with his father, Dirk, that makes him an oddity to other townsfolk) make it hard for them. I also really love religious guilt and conflict for Colette and seeing that put to the test for her feelings for Lloyd, and wanting things of a more physical nature with him. So, guilty sex? Very good??

Another AU I’ve toyed with recently is a Cruxis!Lloyd AU, which is essentially if Lloyd was found by Kratos later and was raised within Cruxis. You can explore this in a variety of ways like if he’s part of the inner circle of the Seraphims with Kratos, Yuan and Yggdrasill, or he’s more kept out of the way and forced to live in the bleak world of Derris-Kharlan with emotionless beings. I want to see how this version of Lloyd, who must be emotionally-starved, meets up with Colette – does he find her on his own, by escaping down to the world? Does she get taken to Derris-Kharlan? Or maybe Colette has been living in Derris-Kharlan her whole life as well, raised by birth to become the perfect vessel for Martel, and Lloyd could be assigned as her guardian to make sure the Chosen doesn’t escape. I would love conflicting feelings, Lloyd slowly falling for Colette, and vice-versa. I don’t mind for this specific AU to be somewhat dark as they are in a very hostile environment. I would just ask for Lloyd to not be a complete 180 of his character (I’ve seen people tend to make Lloyd basically a Kratos 2.0, which I’m not interested in). He’s still passionate and impulsive, maybe a little smarter in his strategic thinking now, and more skilled in sword training because of Kratos. Also, Lloyd would probably use his wings very freely in this AU, and I have a thing for wing kink.

I’m grateful that these two get a happy ending in Symphonia but there’s so many instances where it could have turned out for the worst, and I think Colette becoming soulless, or them never finding a cure for her crystal sickness is ripe for a great tragic romance. One idea is a post-canon fic where Lloyd and Colette are on their journey for the Exspheres, but Colette’s body is still becoming crystallized would be so amazing to explore. How it slowly breaks Lloyd as he realizes he can’t save her, and Colette just having to make peace with it. You can have Lloyd save her somehow, or she does die and Lloyd grieves over it – I only ask if you go the tragic route that Lloyd doesn’t end up with anyone else. I sure do love a heartbroken Lloyd that never heals.

Speaking of dark/tragedy, I’ve been loving the idea lately of a more possessive Lloyd, one that echoes Mithos in his drive to protect Colette, maybe to the point of keeping her away from everyone, including their friends. If perhaps the power of the Eternal Sword is messing with Lloyd’s head, or his Exsphere is getting out of control and finally affecting him, you can use this as well. Whether Colette fights back or goes along with it while still having feelings for Lloyd is up to you, but I love a codependent relationship and seeing that warped in a darker angle for them is incredibly fun. For this sort of prompt, I’m pretty good with dub con if you take your fic that way.

Please feel free to go nuts with any other AUs you can think of as long as Lloyd/Colette is the main focus. A different modern-world take, an apocalyptic AU, a sci-fi AU, a hanahaki AU, a role-swap reversal, a fairytale AU, or a different canon divergence AU you’ve got stirring up. Also, once again, I am so good with smut for them.

Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake

(Note: I think I tagged this as I would like all nominated characters included in a fic, but for this one, you can simply go with just one character/prompt if you would like! Sorry for the confusion!)

So I binge-watched literally everything Adventure Time related, which includes Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake. I really adore all of the characters and am interested in seeing a variety of stories with them! I did pick these characters because I’ve been craving a bit more with them, so here are some possible prompts.

Character: Lemoncarb (nominated as Lady Lemongrab)

The character was nominated as Lady Lemongrab which…is just gender-reversed Lemongrab, so that would be the Lemoncarbs in Fionna and Cake verse. Hopefully this is fine! So one of my favorite Adventure Time characters is Lemongrab, down to all of his incredibly deep-seated issues (including eating his own brother). Now, how does this translate to the Lemoncarbs, which are now twin sisters, in a modern world as they co-own a food empire? How much of it is similar? I seriously just would love to see a more in-depth take on them and how they interact with themselves and the other characters in Fionna and Cake. Do they still have a little doll called Lemonsweets that they play with?? Is it something more sinister? Look, with anything Lemongrab, it gets so weird and disturbing, and I think with the Lemoncarbs it would be so interesting to see that. Maybe there was an incident where one sister bit the other, or worse! Or, since this is a multiverse, perhaps the Lemoncarbs somehow meet up with both Lemongrabs. Just what was the context for that one scene with Lemongrab and his Lemoncamel in Fionna and Cake? Honesty, I’d love anything at all with this character and all the possible multiverse shenanigans.

As a sidenote, for Adventure Time, I really liked the Lemongrab/Lumpy Space Princess ship, so I would love to see the genderswap version of this ship with Lemoncarb/Ellis P. How do they meet? Did one of the Lemoncarbs happen to run into Ellis P in the woods? Also, there’s two of them here, so how does such a relationship work? Is it a love triangle or a very odd polyamorous couple? (Since Ellis P. is not nominated, you definitely don’t need to include this, but this is just a fun idea if you’d like to try it!)

Another sidenote, I also like Lemoncest, so…honestly with the Lemoncarbs I could see this happening. So if you want to go a more fucked up way with them, definitely feel free!

Character: The Star | Marceline

The Star was just a fun what-if idea of how Marceline could have been without Simon, which is apparently a vampire princess who grew to love the gothic lolita fashion. I would be down for an exploration of how The Star came to be, as well how she was given such a title. A look into her relationship with the Vampire King as her new father figure is such a great contrast to what she had with Simon. There could also a fic exploring her and Bonnibel meeting, or the incident where she got one of Bonnibel’s eyes. Basically, I really would love backstory of The Star, if that’s something you’re interested in exploring!
You could also write about what happens after Fionna, Cake and Simon leave her universe, and she’s still fighting Bonnibel to the death. So much chaos happens, and in that moment, little baby Finn is in that vampire universe… Does The Star meet him ever? Definitely go with what motivates you most for this in crafting your story, as long as its Marceline-centric! As a sidenote, I also like the Bubbline ship, so definitely feel free to write it in this verse with all their messed up aspects here.

Character: Fionna the Human

I also put Fionna down here because… I generally just want more with her! One thing that keeps nagging at me is how quick or slowly did Fionna’s original world lose its magic. It seemed to be instantaneous, but what if it was subtle? Maybe Simon’s time inside Glob slowed it down, and small instances of the magical world became mundane, barely noticeable.

There’s also just, unfortunately, very little Fionna and Finn interaction. Especially with the Finn we know! A story where they both somehow meet, these two versions of the same character, and during the timeframe of the show would be really interesting. Fionna who’s so fascinated by the land of Ooo, and Finn who is clearly still grieving over the loss of Jake and is immersing himself in adventures to deal with that loss. How does that affect each other if they meet? Do they get to go on adventures together? With Fionna, I would really love anything and see what you come up with. Also, to clarify, I’m okay with any ship for Fionna (so if your mind goes into Finn/Fionna… hey, I’d be into it).

Elden Ring

The world of Elden Ring has so much depth to it and characters that I’d be okay with literally any fic as long as it’s exploring the canon. There is so much to it and now with the upcoming sequel, I’m chomping at the bit for more exploration fic into its worldbuilding, more character introspection, more missing scenes and so much else. But here’s a few prompts to give you some idea of what I’d like.

Character: Dung Eater

Elden Ring has so many unbelievably messed up characters and I happened to latch onto the worst one of all that no one really likes, and you know, that’s fair! Yes, I am talking about Dung Eater, that weird guy you just find in the sewers and who keeps talking about defiling you. Yeah, I like him. I need more of him. He was so deeply unimportant in the long run of things but with your help, you can make him important! I need his backstory, more on his motivations, and how he’s able to travel to places so easily to give his seedbed curses to people, even all the way to Miquella’s Haligtree?! This man is insane. His armor is made out of cut-up Omen horns, even though he’s not an Omen apparently. He’s just some guy?? But also, he has a sword called Sword of Milos, with a description about an undersized giant named Milos who was viewed as grotesque. Does this mean that Milos is the Dung Eater? Or did he kill Milos for it? WHO KNOWS. Another interesting tidbit is that he’s wearing a sun-shaped medallion, which looks similar to the sun emblem that Solaire from Dark Souls wears. What does this actually mean. Please give me all of your theories into a fic and I will devour it. Backstory, character introspection, just a fic of him going across The Lands Between and killing people—please have at it. I just want this guy to be a focus.

For another prompt, the Blessing of Despair is one ending you get in Elden Ring, which you get by completing his side quest. It doesn’t expand much, but if there was more emphasis on the Dung Eater and the Tarnished about this blessing, maybe the Dung Eater guiding them along even after his death? Or a more expansive look into the world once the blessing takes hold. This is me saying I wish this ending had a bit more to it and would love to see that explored.

Speaking of the Dung Eater and the Tarnished, did you know you can get the Dung Eater as your puppet? I love this idea and how he’s probably suffering under this fate. Fic about him forced to serve as a puppet, maybe only half-aware of what’s happening, would be an amazing thing. The description for his puppet reads, “How hideous and sinister this puppet is, and yet, its utter despair invites one to care for it.” Please interpret that as you will.

Since the Dung Eater is a messed up individual, I’m okay with a lot of things that would be true to his character, and how it’s implied he tortures his victims to give his curses. I only ask for no descriptions of scat and yes, this is ironic with this character’s name, I’m aware.

Character: Preceptor Seluvis, Sorceress Sellen

For Preceptor Seluvis and Sorceress Sellen, I would really love to see fic of them together, romantic or not. There’s something about these two users of magic that get to me, outcasted from their peers because of their unethical work. The fact that there is a body for Sellen in Seluvis’ dungeon is all sorts of red flags that I’d love to see explored more in fic. More of their interactions, how one would most likely stab the other’s back if they needed to, and maybe they offer the other a few benefits?

Character: Mohg Lord of Blood

Mohg is a beautiful creature and is a huge fave of mine, and this also means I would literally be perfectly fine with any fic of him. More on his childhood with Morgott, his fascination with Miquella, and if they had interacted much before he stole Miquella away, and how he made his covenant with the Formless Mother. I just would love Mohg-centric fic, but if you really need some more solid ideas, you can’t go wrong with some fic with him and Morgott. I adore the twins and how they took such separate paths. You can also dive in more with how he created his dynasty. I’m really curious to read any fic with him, and you can throw in any characters with him as well!

A possible prompt idea: Since the Dung Eater seems to be weirdly fascinated with Omens, given what is armor is made out of, maybe a fic of Mohg interacting with him would prove for some interesting character interaction.

FINALLY UPDATED 11/18/2020. Sorry for the delay, it has been a hectic month. I hope my original sign-up still gave enough of an idea for the exchange fic, but here are more details finally!

Same as other years for Yuletide! Honestly, I am so very easy to please because I just love the idea of someone writing gift fic for me, so thank you! As an aside, not all nominated characters need to be included in the fic! Please write your fic naturally and I am sure I will enjoy every aspect of it. But here's a few of my likes and dislikes to help out.

Likes: I love all sorts of genres and writing styles, though I am all about hurt/comfort and angst. But I am also so very good with gen fic, and whether its drama-filled story or humorous, I'm perfectly fine with both. Other stuff I'm into but not limited to; character introspection, worldbuilding, missing scenes in canon, and emotional bonds between characters so very much. I am open to a lot of AU settings as well; such as modern, sci-fi, coffee shop variety, and canon divergance fics.

Dislikes: Tend to not be a fan of character bashing, so please refrain from that in your story. (In the case of Aegis Alver for Crestoria, the other characters -constantly- make fun of him I know, so you can keep that dynamic in). Some AUs and other tropes that I'm specifically not into include high school settings for the most part, any mpreg situations, watersports and some violent non-con. (I would rather dub-con for the most part). Would prefer nothing with reader-insert, though I am perfectly okay with 2nd POV if the character addressed in the perspective is someone within the story and not the reader themself.

Tales of Crestoria
Aegis Alver, Kanata Hjuger

Crestoria is my new tales obsession and I do adore the protag a bunch. I'd love some more introspective fic about Kanata, particularly about his younger years growing up. How much did he idolize his father? And how long has he known Misella and how did they meet? (I also ship Kanata/Misella very much and would not mind shippy fic with them!) A look into how killing his father affected him and his views on the world would also be great, as the game seems to have passed that section a bit too quick for my liking. Can include the rest of the Crestoria gang as well - maybe bonding fic with him and Vicious? Can even do something more light-hearted, such as trying to make their way through towns without much money on hand.

Aegis Alver is another favorite character. I'd like fic exploring his guilt a bit more, particularly about Queen Rebecca's death. If you have any Tales of Destiny knowledge, fic with him and his earlier years of being a knight and working with Leon is another fun idea. I also ship him with Vicious, and if you want to include that in the story, I'd be delighted. That said, I wouldn't mind a fic of Aegis being more gen-centered, as I'd love to see his history and character explored. (Addendum: In all honesty, I ship Aegis with pretty much anyone; another recent interest is him with Yuna. So if you wanna write Aegis with another character, please feel free I would be so very interested!)

Feel free to include characters from other Tales games! I've played Symphonia, Vesperia, Abyss, and Berseria. For preferences, I like Symphonia, and my ships for it are Lloyd/Colette (OTP!) and Sheena/Zelos, so feel free to include those! For the rest of the games, any ships are welcome. You can also include other tales games/characters not listed if you want to expand on the lore of Crestoria.

Bastion
The Kid, Rucks, Zia

It's been years since I've played Bastion, but I still adore this game a ton. I'd love fic expanding on The Kid and Ruck's relationship, and the father/son role they have going on. Things that I'd be into: missing scenes between them in-game, Rucks singing his song for The Kid (The Pantheon from the Bastion OST), and maybe even Rucks watching the The Kid work on his weapons and skills while in Bastion.

I'm also interested in Zia and Rucks relationship. Throughout the game, it's Rucks that's narrating to her, and I'd love more introspective fic on that, and how they interact with each other.

Another idea that's more Rucks-centric; how his life was like before the Calamity happened and before he meets The Kid. I don't recall if this was ever mentioned in the game, but maybe a chance of them meeting before the game starts? Could even be about how Rucks designed the Bastion in the first place.

BEASTARS
Legosi, Haru

I would very much love Legosi/Haru fic that's as shippy as possible. Any emphasis on the danger of them being with each other, from Legosi's cravings for Haru, to Haru's own attraction to him despite the fear she feels. Maybe an alternate way of how their first meeting goes? One thing to note is that I haven't read the manga, so I only know about the anime. That said, if there's any plot elements you'd like to include from the manga into the fic, please feel free! I'm also very okay with smut fic with them very much.

I'm adding a bit more to this from my original sign-up, but any more introspection on their differences between carnivores and herbivores are really fascinating and I'd like to see that explored. You can also just write PWP with them as well! Another interest is seeing fic from Haru's POV and what she feels for Legosi and I'm more open to kinks for them if you go for smut with them.

OFF
The Batter, Zacharie, The Judge, Sugar

I love this little game and The Batter. His one-minded goal to purify the world makes me want to see more of his interactions with the othe characters in the world and how they affect him in turn. Or is he not affected at all in the slighest? Does he have any regrets through it all? Or you can go with fic of others seeing the Batter through their eyes, such as when the The Judge finally meets him.

Though one of the most interesting characters we meet is Zacharie, who doesn't seem as put off by the Batter as other people. Would love an introspective fic between them (can also be a ship), and perhaps a story centered on when The Batter goes to kill his sister, Sugar, and how that may or may not change Zacharie. We only get hints of it in the game, I'd love to see that explored more. Or maybe the Batter and Sugar interact more than they got to? Even the Batter is put off by her intially.

Essentially I really would love fic thats a bit focused on the Batter! But I'm open to so many story ideas with him.

Hello! Incredibly sorry for the wait on this letter to my recipient! But to get down to the point, I am quite easy to please when it comes down to fic written for me, because I just love the very thought of it! I am big on both gen and shippy fic, whether focused on action, domesticity, humor, fluff, angst, meta, character studies and most anything as long as it involves some of my faves. Not all nominated characters need to be included within the fic! It is perfectly fine if you would rather focus on one or two, and I would be very interested in seeing them. (Although I do have preferences for Death Gate Cycle and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, to have at least two of the nominated characters, but again not a huge requirement!)

I’ve provided a few prompts but they are merely guidelines to help you jumpstart on a story if you need it! If you have an idea with the chosen canon and characters that you want to write out, then please do so! I only have a few preferences for my type of fic.

Likes
I definitely like a whole lot of genres, although some of my most favorite things include character introspection, worldbuilding focus, background exploration, missing scenes in canon, and so so much focus between the bonds of characters. (Like, a whole lot). And for AU settings – I am open to very much all of them! These include modern, coffee shop, dark, fantastical, or sci-fi related. Also very drawn to experimental styles in fiction, and seeing people have fun with descriptions. I am also a sucker for angst/comfort fic. And! For the ships listed, I am very okay with smut! This is for those who would like to write such a story of course!

Dislikes
Not really into character bashing generally, though having a light tease on someone is fine! For some prompts, I have named certain characters I don’t generally like, but would prefer if they were rarely mentioned at all. For smut, when it comes to kinks in fiction, I’m generally pretty vanilla, and like to focus on the bonds between characters for such smutty fiction too. Things such as heavy BDSM and non-con are my dislikes for the listed canons and ships. I don’t read reader-insert fic, but am fine with the 2^nd POV writing style when used for characters already in canon.

The Death Gate Cycle
Haplo, Alfred Montbank, Marit, Hugh the Hand

Very into Haplo/Alfred and Haplo/Alfred/Marit. Love angst/comfort, fluff, pre-canon work, and happy post-canon. Life in the Labyrinth/Nexus together? Any extra stories that take place during the timeframe of the books? Or an AU putting everyone in a different environment (cafe, modern, space, other fantasy, etc). I am all for it, give me your best ideas for everyone! Am also highly interested in smut for those who are interested in writing that! Optional idea, emphasizing on Alfred's dragon form, and its effect on Haplo and Marit. Is he in this form often? What does it mean for Haplo when he looks at these two different sides of Alfred? Especially as Alfred reflects a form that is meant to be feared in the Labyrinth?

Would also be interested in Hugh the Hand introspection, particularly how he feels being in the Labyrinth, maybe an expansion of his death scene there since it was off-screen in the books. You can also explore his childhood, expanding on what the books gave us, or one of his assassination jobs since, strangely, the books never actually show him doing that? It'd be very neat seeing a tale lifted from his past to see here.

Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Lloyd Irving, Colette Brunel, Tenebrae

Curious about learning Tenebrae's perspective of the main characters of the first Symphonia game, particularly Lloyd and Colette. An exploration about Tenebrae's role in the story and his relationship to Ratatosk would also be neat! He once mentioned having met with Mithos when he was young, so another possible idea is exploring that past of his. Still, I would like some of the original heroes participating in the story in some way, at least as familiar faces.

Another idea, Colette and Tenebrae story where she keeps trying to treat him like a dog. Can be completely silly and fluff-filled. But if you have any serious ideas for these two, go for it!

Optional, but would love Lloyd/Colette emphasis in a story if you would ever like to. Tenebrae interactions with the two as a pair are also highly encouraged. If Lloyd/Colette have any explicit smut scenes together somehow in the story, I would not complain at all thank you.

Catherine
Catherine, Katherine McBride

A possible ending where Katherine and Catherine end up with each other, no Vincent in the picture! Can be character exploration, to fluff, to smut. Does not need to be a fully happy relationship, as long as both interact with each other mainly. Prefer for neither to really fight over Vincent and that he's more or less not part of the story. Can also explore the idea about Catherine being a succubus, and she needs sexual energy to live, so what exactly makes her go to Katherine? How do their different values line up with each other?

Night in the Woods
Black Goat Cult, Black Goat, Jeremy “Germ” Warton, Mae Borowski

I'm extremely interested in learning about the cult and how they shaped the town throughout the years. Delving into their motivations, emphasizing the creepiness of the Black Goat itself, are all options.

For something completely different, would love fic about Germ and his own perspective of his life in the town. He's so different from everyone else trying to get away and yet he seems to find his own place there. What events in his life have shaped him the way he was? How does he think about Mae and her friends? Would also love fic about him and Mae's relationship, whether it be platonic or romantic.

To answer a question: I am fine with reading about additional characters that I have not nominated, except for mildly maybe one or two. For specifics:

Death Gate Cycle: I am happy with many of them! Some additional characters not nominated but who I love, Grundle, Jarre, Limbeck (I like the dwarves) the kids in Chelestra, Aleatha, Orla, Iridal, Sang-Drax, and Haplo’s dog. Characters I’m not too crazy about would be Roland, Rega and Paitan from Elven Star, but I don’t mind if they’re in a fic.

Tales of Symphonia, Dawn of the New World: I’m fine with seeing everyone, especially the old cast of characters from the first game! I’m fine with Emil, not too crazy about Marta, but I don’t mind her in a fic either. Alice and Decus are okay to include too!

Catherine: I’m fine with many characters here, although I am indifferent to Vincent. I would prefer him to just be mentioned, but however, if you need him in a story and still focus on Catherine and Katherine, I am okay with that!

Night in the Woods: I am perfectly fine with mentioning any nominated characters for this canon! Besides who I nominated, I also like the rest of the main gang, and other characters such as Lori, Mae’s Mom, and any of the interesting characters in the town.

Hello! After a skipped year, I’m back to joining Yuletide! To make this quick and to the point, I am very easy to please when it comes to fics written for me, because I already love the very idea! I have so far loved all that I received as well as loved writing fics for others. My taste is varied across all genres, from gen to romance, to action, to humor, to meta, to character studies and more. While I’ve written some prompts, these are only to serve as a guideline for when a writer needs a more solid idea. However, if you’ve gotten an idea you’re dying to share, please do so! I only have a few preferences to keep in mind.

Likes/Preferences

As said before, I’ve a taste for all genres, but I do love seeing certain aspects, such as character introspection, background exploration, worldbuilding (very much so!) and fics that delve into the bonds between characters. I’m also open to the idea of different AU settings; not just modern (although I am not a fan of the high-school setting) but also for something dark, fantastical, or sci-fi related. I also like seeing experimental stuff in fiction, and am absolutely giddy when I see unique styles being employed. I am genuinely interested in crossovers as well, as I will specify in certain prompts.

For some of my fandoms, seeing character bonds is a very big thing for me; whether it be romantic, tragic, of deep friendship or familial. While some prompts I’m detailing will have ship material, these are not absolutely necessary in the story that you write. If you would rather a ship pairing be more platonic, go for it!

Dislikes

For my dislikes, I just generally would like no character bashing. I’m all for smut, though these will only be certain ships/fandoms. And for smut, I’m generally very vanilla when it comes to kinks – so I will not be in favor of heavy BDSM, non-con (except for one prompt), and gore (…also except for one prompt). For certain writing styles, I am still fine with all versions. My only nitpick is for certain 2^nd POV, where the reader is a character (as in reader-insert). If the POV is for a style, for a character already in canon, or anything else, I will be fine with it.

Fandom: Amnesia: The Dark Descent
Characters: Daniel, Justine Florbelle

This game is still one of my favorite horror-types out there. The atmosphere, the style, and the hints of character motivations we get as we progress through the game has very much stayed with me. The DLC included was a great extra to the game, and I’ve been wanting to see that one explored more for quite a while.

One idea that’s been occupying my brain for years is Daniel interacting with Justine. Going by the game’s timeline, it is very possible for these two to meet. One specific prompt I have is for an older Daniel, who’s escaped Brennenburg, to have met up with Justine in France, once he’s become a lead in his Archeology field. I’m very interested in seeing these two in a bad/wrong ship, with both of their grievous sins coming to a head. (Justine seems perfectly fine with what she’s done, while Daniel is wracked by guilt, enough for self-induced amnesia). I’d love to see them relate to one another, and see where their darkness goes. Considering the subject of this game, I am more open to concepts of torture or non-con, or just any general terribleness. You are also free to portray them as platonic just as well! Just for this request, I’d like fluff/happiness to be as minimal as possible – as this is a canon where I see very little of that.
Super optional request!:  I am also open to crossovers for other Frictional games. Both Penumbra and SOMA have very similar elements and protagonists, and either through weird magic or just general past/present explanations, I’d love to see a story where these canons intersect.

Fandom: Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Characters: Mipha, Link, Revali, Urobosa

Been a fan of Legend of Zelda for many years and this new addition didn’t disappoint. However, I really wanted to learn more about the characters, and so I’m hoping for some more in-depth backstory characters such as Mipha, especially in regards to her relationship with Link. It seems they grew up together, so how did that mesh with their different ways of life? Did Link live with the Zora? How did their relationship to each other change once he became Zelda’s knight? Can definitely be written as a ship, and am also intrigued with a smut-leaning if you want to go in that direction.

I would also love to see more into earlier beginnings with Revali, and Daruk, and Urbosa. Including Mipha, I’d like to see how all these great heroes of their peoples worked together, and if there was any general misunderstandings or difficulties, and how they overcame them. An exploration into their deaths is also something intriguing. Of course, you can just mix and match which characters can interact as well! (I could not fit in Daruk as a requested character, so feel free to skip him if you'd like). I’d also be ecstatic to see a bit more worldbuilding explored for this canon – it was amazing to see that in the game, and having more details to just see the world and history that connects with previous LoZ canons would be great to read and learn about.

Fandom: American Gods (TV show)
Characters: Mr. Wednesday, Essie MacGowan, Mad Sweeney

The show has done such a unique job of representing many of the god characters, both old and new, and some of their backstories as well. I’d love to see someone’s take on Mr. Wednesday, perhaps more from when he was first brought to America and his general perception of it, as well as his own initial interactions with other gods/deities, such as Easter or Mad Sweeney, and how he came to be how he is. Any expansions on mythology and the like, general talk about different pantheons and religions, and utilizing the god characters as perhaps as just a concept for something else – I am very open to various interpretations of the show and all the characters.

For something perhaps a bit more grounded, a look into Essie MacGowan and Mad Sweeney is also ideal. I wanted more interactions between them, and maybe something like that could be alluded to in their past together, or a more introspective look into Mad Sweeney’s connection to her. Can be romantic, platonic, or somewhere in between!

Hi! This is my third year in Yuletide! (Skipped last year because busyness! Though I’m busy this year too but HEY) First thing you should know in general is that I am very very easy to please so no need to fret over your gift, because I will most likely love it, as fic gifts always makes me happy! I have loved all the gifts I received. I like a wide range of genres, from gen to romance to humor to adventure to tragic, including some AU’s, as well as smut. And though I’ve written some prompts for my chosen fandoms, please feel free to use your own ideas if you want to! I just have a few preferences for fic;

For my kinks, I’m very vanilla because that’s how I roll. I’m not into most aspects of BDSM, nor do I like scat/watersports and other extreme things. I’m partial to dub-con just fine, but like to refrain from outright non-con if a story has that. Definitely into more consensual happenings when it comes to smut, whether it be het, slash, or femslash. For gen, I love plotty stories, whether it be expanding on a certain part of the canon, or going into AU territory. Such as when an AU just takes the canon into a different plot direction, or transform into something else entirely, such as coffee-shop, space opera, urban and the like. AU’s that I’m -not- into are of the high-school variety. I’m also not interested in the a/b/o universe, along with most of the aspects of it, such as mpreg. (I do like soul bonds though, so I’m cool with that!)

Fandom: SOMA
Characters: Simon Jarrett, Catherine Chun, WAU

So I really like scary games, and SOMA is no exception. It’s bit different then the other games by the Frictional team, but the sci-fi setting and the WAU just made it all for me. And I liked Simon more than I thought I would, probably because of that gut-punch of an ending.

I’m yearning for fic dealing with the Simon that was left behind in the Abyss. Whether you want to go the route of things getting better for him, maybe he can fix Catherine, or he’s able to travel to the surface, or deal with his misery at being the last human alive, I’ll love them both. And cry. You can also write about the Simon in the ARK. Does he know about his other self? Is he really happy there? How do he and Catherine interact there? The possibilities are endless! You could even go into some study over the WAU. It’s initial happenings before the world was messed up, or how people perceived over time. It’s not supposed to actually have a consciousness, or does it??

I’m not particularly into shipping for this fandom. I like Simon and Catherine as friends, but if your muse takes you into that direction, then go for it! I’m still fine with them as a pairing. Whatever idea you’re inspired by, I want to read it!

Fandom: Death Gate Cycle
Characters: Haplo, Alfred Montbank, Marit, The Labyrinth

Okay, I really love Death Gate Cycle to an unbelievable point, and I just want stories about this universe to exist. About any characters, in all kinds of situations! But for my preference, I do have a love for both Alfred and Haplo, so I’ll definitely say that I would love stories centering around these two and their relationship towards each other. As my OTP of all OTP’s, I want all the ship fic for them. Whether canon-diverging fic, post-canon fic, or an AU-type of fic! And for AU’s, I’m definitely leaning towards modern-setting fic… maybe one where Alfred is a college professor? JUST IMAGINE IT.

Over time, I’ve also started to really develop a fondness for Alfred/Haplo/Marit, and would love poly fic for them. Can still be very gen, or maybe just how a poly trio would come about with them. And all taking care of their kids! HAPPY FAMILY. WHOA I’m too affected by this. Of course, just detailing the three as a wonderful friendship is just as good.

[The character for the Labyrinth didn't show up in the sign-ups, but it's still in the tag sets, SO, putting this here still] Another possible prompt could be some fic about the Labyrinth itself. The books strongly hint that it’s sentient, and that it seems to be afraid of Alfred, and Haplo as well. I think there’s a lot you could do here; maybe a first-POV from the Labyrinth’s perspective, or have it interact with Alfred and Haplo with some weird telepathy thing. I’d also accept some dark fic for this certain character, as the Labyrinth shows that it’ll do plenty of horrible things in its goal for everyone’s so-called redemption.

BONUS: This is just a super special extra if you wanna do it. I’ve been wanting some smutty fic for Haplo and Alfred for the longest time, but definitely only if you feel comfortable with writing it. Fade-to-black or just some implications are totally fine with me. This also applies to Alfred/Haplo/Marit too, because poly threesomes are neat. My kinks are still vanilla for them regardless.

Fandom: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Characters: Colette Brunel, Tenebrae

Glad Tales of Symphonia got in! Even if it’s only the sequel… I’m not a huge fan of the sequel in terms of how it treated the characters, but it did introduce some interesting political upheaval, which it could’ve gone further with but eh. I would be fine with either plotty fic dealing with the situation, or something more lighthearted! I definitely did get a soft-spot for Tenebrae. A fic expanding on his role in the game, or on his origins before the game would be great. It’s mentioned that he met Mithos’ group during the Kharlan War- what event happened between them? How does his interaction with them affect his interaction with the people he’s with now? I’d be happy with virtually anything with Tenebrae as a central role.

I’m really excited that Colette Brunel is also a nominated character. She’s no longer the Chosen, and as shown by Marta, there are people that blame her for certain tragedies that have occurred, and Lloyd is currently missing/ having hurtful rumors flying around him. For fic with her, I’d still love Tenebrae to play a role, and maybe he helps her deal with these things in his own special, sarcastic way. And Colette has always had a love for dogs, so some fun, fluffy fic with her and Tenebie/Paw Pads/Brae Brae would be neat! If you even want to go into some shippy territory with them, I’m all for that too! Perhaps Tenebrae can shape shift into a human form?

BONUS: For a very, very optional detail, I have a fondness for Lloyd/Colette too, so if you want to add that to your story, I wouldn’t mind seeing it! Maybe Lloyd also has his own interactions with Tenebrae as well.

Fandom: Edgar Huntly, or Memoirs of a Sleepwalker
Characters: Edgar Huntly, Edny Clithero

This is such a curious story. Edgar Huntly, in his search for the answers to his friend Waldegrave’s death, discovers the suffering Clithero and then proceeds to become completely obsessed with him. A lot of gothic atmosphere, inner conflict and really weird connections between Edgar and Clithero. Any fic describing about these two, maybe a focus on Edgar’s strange savior complex he has for Clithero, would be awesome. Can take place during the story, or maybe after? Perhaps Clithero never got to escape, and maybe Edgar stops him? Introspective or dark fic is great, and definitely some shipping is encouraged, especially highlighting the weird fascination that Edgar has with Clithero. (Smut is good, too.)

Fandom: Beyond Good and Evil
Characters: Jade, Pey’j

I really loved this game! Jade and Pey’j were my favorites, and I’m still waiting for them to come back for the sequel. But since that won’t happen for another 20 years (sigh) some fic that dealt with the aftereffects of the game would be awesome. I’d love plotty fic, or some feel-good family fic. Some possible prompts, the end of the game showed Pey’j infected with the Dom’z stuff, so maybe how does he deal with it? How long does he keep this from Jade? Or maybe some pre-canon fic, of younger Jade growing up with her uncle. As you can see, I really love these two a lot, and some wonderful family stuff, along with some plot, would be really wonderful. Since they’re family, this is the one fandom where I don’t want ships/romance. But for gen, you’re free to write whatever comes to mind!

Death Gate Cycle is a dear book series to me, and I'm always on the lookout for any new fanworks about it. I'm especially a big fan of these characters, so any lovely fics of either Haplo/Alfred or Alfred/Orla would make me happy. While I am more partial toward Haplo/Alfred, I love Orla's relationship with Alfred as well. Fics can range from G-rated fluffness to wonderful smut as long as there is some hugs going on~ If you want to write either relationship as platonic and focus more on friendship, I'm fine with that too! You can also go a tragedy, angst-filled route, such as with Alfred/Orla, and it will make me cry tears, but in a good way.

VERY OPTIONAL DETAIL: I'm gonna admit, I've been wanting some porn with Haplo/Alfred for quite a while, with some emphasis on their friendship and soul sharing (and a whole lot of making out). It is sadly the kind of fic that is quite rare for these two, despite how strongly the books paints their relationship in its wonderful subtext. However, please don't make yourself write it if you're not comfortable with it! This is mostly just a detail for those who would like doing so~ :)

The Majere twins have been a favorite of mine for years. I would love a fic detailing the brotherly good times/troubles they've had. I'm fine from G-rated fluff to good ol' smut. There's a lot of opportunities, such as from their campaigning days to when they're time-traveling. Platonic brotherhood between them is okay with me too! So anything from happiness to angst-filled heartbreak between them, I will love.

Daniel/Justine started out as a little fascination, and I'm always a bit sad to see not much fics exploring the aspect of them meeting each other. (In one of Daniel's endings, I think it's very possible for him to meet her at some point in his life, such as when he is in his 40's or so, and Justine in her late 20's.)

I'd love maybe some exploration about their own dark sides and how they can relate to each other. Though Daniel may have redeemed himself, he's still far from being innocent, and Justine has her own dark fascination with torture. Does Daniel find out and try to stop her? Or will he join her even? I think there's a lot of ways you can go with their story- and any added smut is always a plus if you don't mind writing it.

Gory details are welcome for this canon. I think I might be okay with non-con as well (and if there was some non-con going on, I believe Justine would be the one initiating it somehow through her own twisted ways). Just some unsettling connection between these two would be very grand.

Fandom: A Song of Ice and Fire
Pairings: Barristan Selmy/Daenerys Targaryen

So, yes, I've been wanting a romantic fic for these two. I won't deny that. (Another couple with an older person paired with a younger one? I think I might see a pattern here...)

I've loved Selmy ever since A Storm of Swords, and I've loved Dany since the beginning. I would like a fic that highlights a relationship between them, such as their time in Mereen, or maybe a future fic set in Westeros. You can go a more platonic route with these two if you would rather do that, and I'm fine with happy G-rated fluff to anything more serious. Smut is also welcome if you can think of a way, just as long as they remain their awesome selves, although I would like Dany to be older. (Then I'll feel less guilty). If you want to incorporate some things from the show as well, I am totally fine with it~
