JamBase Data & Database
Get to know our live music event & ticketing data
Our 360° data covers live music events globally since 1999.
We track Events with granular detail, each with an eventStatus such as 'scheduled' or 'cancelled', a full performer lineup, and critical time information including doorTime and startDate.
Our rich Artist (MusicGroup) profiles feature a genre array, and you can include external identifiers from sources like Musicbrainz and Spotify by using the expandExternalIdentifiers parameter.
Each event is tied to a Venuelocation (MusicVenue), for which we provide a full address object, precise geographic coordinates via latitude and longitude, and key operational data like maximumAttendeeCapacity.
Powering the Ticketing layer is the offers array on each event, which contains ticketing information from each seller, direct purchase links via a url, and full price ranges in the priceSpecification object with minPrice and maxPrice.
Crucially, these and many other data points are interconnected, and with the expandPastEvents parameter, you can analyze the historical trends that are shaping today's live music industry.

Transform live music data into business value
We use double ETL—extract, transform, load—technology to transform raw data into measurable value, enriching and connecting it for deeper, more actionable insights.
ETL #1 - Data Cleansing & Structuring
JamBase Data automatically transforms complex, wide tables into a more manageable, long format, making it easier to perform aggregations, filtering and other analytical operations. This dramatically simplifies data preparation, saving resources and increasing usability.
Imagine a table representing raw event ticket sales data, generated from several channels over multiple days:
Before Unpivoting (Denormalized/Wide)
After Unpivoting (Normalized/Long)
The normalized data provides easier filtering and aggregation, improved machine readability and more flexible data addition.
ETL #2 - Relationship Mapping & Enrichment
JamBase Data optimizes data for efficient loading into our data warehouse, ensuring seamless compatibility with standard querying tools and BI platforms like our dashboard product. This empowers your team to easily access and analyze the data they need.
Imagine a table representing event ticket sales performance data, generated from several channels over multiple events:
Before Pivoting (Long)
After Pivoting (Wide)
These example tables illustrate our powerful two-stage ETL process, from unpivoting complex, raw tables to pivoting for data warehousing and analytics, making the data far more flexible and actionable.
The example data shown here could be used to optimize ad spend by channel and/or event in a live music marketing campaign.
