D & B Stoddard Scripts

Daniel and I met and started dating in July of 2005. After a good year, we were married Aug 5, 2006. We lived in the Love Shack Trailer in Egin, ID. Though a bit far from town, we enjoyed ourselves and gained great friendships. In April 2008, we moved a few miles to Hibbard, near Rexburg. In September Baby Addyson entered our family; truly blessing our lives, hearts, and home.

First Day in Nursery, First Battle Wound

Image

Sunday was an exciting day for this Stoddard clan; Addy was old enough to spend Sunday in Nursery. She took to it just fine, as expected. She is a total social bug and she loves toys and other kids. So what better than to have it all in one place. It was a great day to start her in there, because Dan was busy with his calling (as usual) and I had to give the lesson in Relief Society. I did have this weird anxiety about pawning her off on basically strangers. That was weird. Here ya go, enjoy my wild child! She was so small compared to all those kids. Her Uncle Chris picked her up after church. She had some small scratches on her face and the rest of the afternoon was full of "mine, mine, mine." The scratches I really didn't mind, but that greedy "mine" word, that was way annoying!
Image
Addy's wound have definitely not slowed her down at all!

March started off with the usual cleaning the house, watching Addy, and work. One night after work, however, I met up with some of my good ole high school girlie friends for ice cream. It was so good,as always to see them all! Steph is pregnant and due here soon, so she isn't going to appreciate me blogging this picture.

The next big event for us in March was our short trip to Boise for Boy's State Basketball with our friends, the Mortensons. It was so fun to get away to warmer weather, eat yummy food, and just hang out with good friends. This was the only picture we took on the whole trip. We are at Cabella's where Tara and I were dying to go! NOT! I do like Cabella's, don't get me wrong...but only in small doses. Luckily there were other places to wander around while the guys where in there.

We went with some friends and there kids up to Green Canyon one of the Friday's of this month. We enjoyed good grub, good company, warm water, yucky showers and even yuckier dressing rooms, and lots of laughs from all our cute kids! Addy was SOOOO CRAZY! She is not afraid of water in the least! We had her in her floaty at first, but she dove right out of that. She was be walking in the edge, then just jump into the water. And if you were holding her, you had to hold on tight because she would try to squirm out of your hands and try to swim on her own. One of the times when we were getting out, she went right back in, but Dan and I weren't near her. She went under for about 3 LONG seconds by the time Dan and I both met up with her. I pulled her out of the water and she just started laughing and trying to get down again. I decided those early toddler swimming lessons aren't such a crazy idea after all.

St. Patrick's Day I had to work, but that didn't stop me from living up that green day! I actually don't own the hat, but the person at work didn't want to wear it, and so she told me to do it. Some of my patients thought I was super weird (okay, they are right, I know! But other's got a kick out of my outfit. One of the nurses I work with took a picture of me and later told me that she had convinced her little boys that she had caught a "real Leprechaun" ticked her with fake gold coins (chocolate ones). I thought it was pretty cute.
Image
Dan had to go to Chicago for a week in the middle of March (lame) for work and has to go back again in April (More lame!) It would have been really hard to get through with my work schedule, but Lynzi Neville is such an awesome person and took Addy each night so I wouldn't have to get Addy up and going at 5:30 in the AM. Thanks Lynzi!
Just this last weekend, I helped out my friend, Alyssa, with her Jr. Miss. I was her "backstage mom." I don't know who had more fun, the girls participating, or the ladies in the back! Alyssa looked so beautiful and did so well! I sure made me miss the days of dressing up like princesses for dances and stuff! I think Dan needs to come up with a good date idea that I can dress up like that for something. :) Okay, probably not, but I do miss those days!
ImageDakota Weeks, myself, and Alyssa Rumsey; I was in the Young Women with these girls in Egin. Super cute and fun!

Addy has become SO BUSY! She climbs up onto everything and anything! I can't believe how much energy such a little thing can have! She is completely the next Energizer bunny! But she is still a blast and every moment is full of excitement and awe! She is my own form of entertainment. She is eating SO MUCH BETTER! Oh happy day! She still is not a fan of fruits, but she will eat about anything else that I put in front of her. WAY less stressful! She is still way tiny, but she is happy and healthy!

Image
See, look at that pop belly! Yep, her father's child :)

Image

She loves treats, her milk before bedtime, climbing, talking on phones, listening and carrying around our old mp3 player. She thinks she knows how to use a computer (way not a fan of this that she does!), she loves to be out doors, whether it is on a snow machine, four-wheeler, in the swing, or just on a walk! She loves not being cooped up in the house!!!! We can't wait for spring! She is quite the talker! Some of her words, "Ma Ma, Da Da, hi, Hello, Bye, Cow, Moo, Dog, Rough, Cat, Meow, Here ya go (We love that one!) Hot, Milk, Shoe, Chew, Thank You (other favorite), Love You, and book". Oh yeah, and the newest, "Mine".

Well, I actually feel pretty good after finally taking the time to up date this dang blog! I got on and had to think for a sec how to do it. I get on to check up on everyone else's and just never have up dated mine. That is my only excuse. Anyway. Here we are!

ADDY'S GOT A TOOTH!!!

Image

Yep, you heard us right! 15 months and our first tooth! It actually looks like she has 3 more that are just about to pop through. She loves to feel it. Dan even told me that he brushed it...Remind you, it is just barely sticking though the gums, so I thought it was pretty cute. So loves playing in my cabinets. She especially loves to sit inside the cookie sheet cupboard and the fridge. She is so funny! We love this little girly so much!!! We are so excited foe Christmas to be with family and also to watch little Addy. We have had a 12 days of Christmas gift, so she has the art of opening gifts down.

Image

I must add that she LOVES candy canes! I love the mess...not! But it is fun to watch her!

HALLOWEEN...A couple weeks late!

Image
We had a wonderful Halloween! As I mentioned in my last blog, it started a week early with the annual Jennie/Justin Party. That was such a nice time... Then the next Friday night, our family dressed up as high school kids (I am suppose to mention and impress upon you that DAN WAS NOT A CHEERLEADER in this outfit this year! He was a 70's basketball player.) :) We went over to the Sugar Salem elementary carnival. I was given many bad looks and comments from my fellow Sugar Alumni's...Especially the older ones...WOW! Oh well! I thought we were cute! Anyway... After that, Dan and I went up to a South Fremont party that one of his co-workers was having. We had a good time.

Image
Addy was our ONLY cheerleader this year!!! Don't ya like Dan's chest hair we added!

Image
The next afternoon, we missed our wards Trunk er treat cuz Addy was sleeping...So when she awoke, we went out to Egins so we could also see Dan's family. Everyone was so cute!!!! We had such a good time! We also took Addy around to some of our family's homes to trick-or-treat. She was so cute as a little duck!

Image
Dan with his ducky, Addy and her cousin, the kitty, Alyn.
This little kitty and ducky were the best of friends...They were so cute to watch hugging and loving each other.

Image
My VERY talented sister-in-law, Bonnie and her sister Cynda. They had a little tent set up with all sorts of witches treats and steaming cauldrons. Very Cute!

Image
We also went over to see Dan's grandparents while we were out to Egin. Grandma piled on the treats for us!

The first house we went to, Addy didn't really know what to do. So she just stood there in the doorway. But she looked so dang cute!!!
Image
By the time we got to my parents, Addy was no longer shy! She just helped herself right to the candy and almost fell right in to their bowl!

Look what Addy found!!!

She loves the treats!

October was another great month! Though we have not reached the real picture day of Halloween...I thought I would just post a couple of pictures of our month. At the beginning of the month, Addy and I went with my friend, Carp, to Denver to see our friend, Ann. We had such a good time just hanging out and catching up. We were also able to go see the Ringling Circus as well as went to a Broadway, thanks to Ann's wonderful husband, Jared, who stayed home and watched the kids (BIG thanks, Jared!) We had an awesome night on the town, with dinner with a crowd of 11 crazy chicas and then going to Wicked. LOVED IT!!!! Definitely recommend it!

Other than that trip, our family has just been laying low, hiding from the flu season. The closest we came to being sick this month was when Addyson had Roseola for a week (Fevers for 3 days, then broke out in a bad rash) Other than that, ship shape!
She is walking all over the joint and always talking on the phone. She is so dang funny on the phone because it sounds like she is cussing someone out. She just goes and goes and goes. She also is helping out a lot at the house...or just tearing everything apart! Including the dishwasher!

Image

Every day she just makes me laugh! She is just so funny to me! I have been curling her hair and I think it makes her look like a "big girl" Even though she still doesn't have any teeth! Anyway...Here are some photos of one day with her "big girl hair."

The best was after all this playing...She was exhausted by lunch time. It was so funny to watch her tucker out!

Out!
Image
Definitely out!!
Image
All utterly out as can be!!!
Last but not least, was the Annual Halloween party put on by our friends, Justin and Jennie. This year was all about simplicity and ease! We came in pj's and wild and crazy hair! We snacked on great food/treats, visited, caught up, and then lounged out, while watching the old show, Watcher in the Woods. It was kind of a silly show, but I still was all nervous watching it! I am such a wuss! Watching that show did take me back to Jr. High parties when we used to watch all these old scary shows! They were so scary. I kind of want to rent them now to see if I was just super wussy back then! I only got one photo from that night because we were late :( And that photo is a bit blurry. Then my battery died! But it was a great night!

Addy's ONE year checkup!!!

I am such a funny girl!
Image

Shots, cries, tylenol, and more of the same 0% My baby is a shrimp! The doctor still reassures me that she is growing steadily and not to worry...Just start her up on the yucky whole milk. We also went and got some blood work done to complete her one year check up. I felt kind of bad about the shots and needle poke all in one day, so I only thought it was fair to get my flu shot done. There...Addy, your mom got poked too!!! Just not six times :) But here are her 1 year old rankings....SHRIMP!!!

Weight: 14 lbs...0%
Height: 27.8 in...12%

See, my big girl is so tiny! But I do love her! Here are some of the photos of her from my phone.

ADDYSON IS ONE!!!!!

WOW! That is all I can say! The last couple of days have been filled with remembering the first days with Addy...So precious to me!!! I finally did SOMETHING on her scrapbook! It has been so fun to look at those pictures again. I LOVE THIS GIRL! I just want to share some of our fun pictures from her birthday and the last couple of months...
Image
We celebrated Addy's birthday after I got home from work on Saturday because I had to work on Sunday (her actual birthday) and Dan had to go out of town for work. It wasn't a very graceful night for us... First off, we ate dinner WAY LATE! And when we tried to feed Addy, it just ticked her off. The last two weeks, she hasn't been eating very well for us. She hates texture and she hates her baby food...And she has no teeth, so I am kind of at a loss of what to feed her that she will eat...Anyway, so after we ticked her off trying to feed her dinner, she didn't want anything to do with us or her cupcake!!!

Image

As you can see, she was a complete mess! Don't let her messy face fool you into thinking she ate some of it! No, I tried to get her to taste the frosting to see if she would like it and change her mind...That wasn't the case!

So I went and bathed her, put on some jammies, and then we showed her the birthday gifts. I remind you, it was pretty late...But we stayed up, putting one of her toys together, and then letter her play with them. Until the push toy was finished, her favorite thing that we gave her was the new sippy cup :)She was so funny with the push toy. We just kept video tapping her.

WOW! Great gift Mom and Dad!

A couple of weeks ago, Addy and I went to the zoo with some of my awesome friends from high school and their kids. It was such a nice, warm day and we had a good time. After the zoo, I took Addy to get her pictures taken at the mall. She was getting pretty tired, but she was ADORABLE! She was so funny and we got some good shots. But here are some zoo pics.

Image

She was a good sport and tried feeding Kimmi... I mean, the goats...(Inside joke. My friend's nickname is Goat.) Addy thought it was rather disgusting and preferred to only do it once.

Image

Here are just a few pics from here at the house that I thought were pretty cute.
Image
Just after bath time...I remember when this robe used to drowned her.

Image

I was upstairs finishing cleaning the bathroom and thought I was safe to get it done without her coming to help me finish...I was wrong! She found a way out of the walker. That was the last of that trick.

Image
Yes, tearing apart the living room IS exhausting!!!
Image

Addy was a good helper canning applesauce! Good thing my runt still doesn't have teeth! Otherwise every apple would have Addy marks!
