About the Monsignor Wells Division

Welcome to the DC Ancient Order of Hibernians, Monsignor Wells Division blog.

The Ancient Order of Hibernians is the largest Irish Catholic organization in the United States.  It was founded by Irish immigrants in 1836 and is also active in Ireland as the Ancient Order of Hibernians Board of Erin.  Our motto is Friendship, Unity and Christian Charity.

The Monsignor Wells Division (DC Div 3) is based on Montgomery County, Maryland and meets at the Rosensteel Knights of Columbus Hall in Silver Spring.

Our division is active in supporting Irish culture, supporting the Church, and sponsoring a variety of charitable works.  If you are interested in joining the AOH, contact us!
