home alone...

So, Chase started kindergarten today.

There were no tears on either end - we can both appreciate the goodness that is associated with separation!

He could possibly be a little more broken hearted - right when we pulled into the school, he said "bye mom!" - I didn't even have the keys out of the ignition! I informed him that I would not only be walking him to the door, I would also be taking LOTS of pictures!

When we were headed up to the kindergarten area, he saw his BFF! She told him how cute he looked and how cute his backpack was (which was really cool, since she is in 1st grade!!).

He is so excited to be in school

it's great to be 8...

Image
Wesley has been so excited to turn 8 (ever since he was 5!!).
Being 8 means you get to start scouts...
Imageand you get to be baptized!!ImageHe had a interview with our Bishop before his baptism and he was so nervous he could hardly remember his name. The minute we walked out the door he said,
"I think I got a 100%" ImageI think he did too! Not because of his answers, but because he can win anyone over with his charm!! ImageImage

I don't want to talk about it...

So, I have always told Chase that we could cut his hair whenever he wanted to. Recently he has wanted to cut his bangs BUT not the rest of his hair. I explained to him that if he cut his bangs, he has to cut it all (no party in the back allowed here)! Yesterday he took matters into his own hands (sniff, sniff) while Cameron was babysitting (of course). He was extremely proud to show me his handy work (and I, maturely, waited to cry until later). In my attempt to make him feel bad, I explained to him that now we had to cut his hair like Reagan and Wesley's. He quickly responded, "Just because my hair will look like Reagan and Wesley's, doesn't mean I will STINK like Reagan and Wesley!!".
Today, to cheer me up, before we went to go see Cassie (his hairstylist since birth) he told me that he will still be cute because his face is cute!
He went in demanding a "mohawk" and was all smiles through the whole process.

He LOVES his new dew and I can't help but be happy for him!

(even though my last baby doesn't look like my baby anymore and when he needs his mom to hold him, it just won't be the same without being able to run my fingers through his hair)

Happy early Father's Day Papa - don't expect anything else!!

eye spy...

After looking in the mirror long and hard today,
Wesley said, "Man, why did I have to hit my good looking eye?"

*this injury is in no way related to the injury displayed in the previous post -
they both, however, have a little something to do with running into things that don't move!

my, what pretty teeth you HAD...

Some might think I showcase one child above the others.
Although I am possibly guilty of this, I have good reason...
Here is a picture I posted of Cameron awhile back (see here)...

and here is one of Reagan from a previous post (see here)...

and because I no longer want to be accused of being unjust, here is Wesley (as of yesterday)...

I don't ask how it happened anymore,
I just tell them to hurry and find it and bring me a glass of milk!!!
What have I done to deserve these boys???
and why don't I have dental insurance??

I'm glad they are mine :)
