Happy Birthday Harry Potter! What an incredible world that universe is!!
I just signed up for a calligraphy class in Orinda. This should be an interesting trip as I'm such a city girly hat I rarely venture out of the city limits. Not that I'm loathe to, just don't really have much reason to do so. So the cost to go there and back will be about $12 x 6. Yeah. Well, I figure it'll be fine as the person who recommended the class is a pretty good calligrapher herself and this is a new style that she's not familiar with so we'll be on sort of equal footing. She's also a very cool person.

Watched the Heroes finale. As wacked as this show is, I still watch it for a couple of characters. I was disappointed with the "villain" this time around. His family was an interesting concept but it fell apart a bit. Which doesn't really surprise me. I'd still tune in next season (if there is one) to see what happens next.
After today, there's only a half day left of work. This is a very bizarre feeling. I'm not sad. But you know it's the end of a huge chapter in my life.
Wow. Lost is just...wow. 2010 never sounded farther away. And I totally knew about the cargo box.
Grey's Anatomy. I have to tell you I don't watch this very often but...awwwwwwww. I'm feeling a bit smooshy over that.

So today. Was really interesting. I'm feeling more optimistic about the job situation and a bit nervous at the same time. It's like I'm standing the edge of something big. More later.
So I've done some very shallow research on what to do with my 401k and cash pension. I just don't know who to go with. Fidelity? BofA? Vanguard? Chuck? So confusing. For every satisfied person I encounter there's a dissatisfied one as well. I know that it's all highly personal and you should go with what feels righ tto you for your situation but...I kind of just want to find someone to tell me what to do.
Whee! The new Harry Potter trailer made me squee! Was watching Ghosts of Girlfriends Past (meh) and saw it then. Pretty. Is it July yet? Their idea of what the vanishing cabinets look like is pretty cool. I just had rickety looking cabinets in my head.
Hmmm. I can't seem to upload a userpic in Dreamwidth. I can however cross post on this computer. So I've figured that out.

Yesterday I decided to rip up the striped scarf I was working on and go down to a size 6 needle rather than sticking to the 8's. I felt like the yarn wasn't being knit tight enough to suit my taste. And I couldn't help but think that it would get looser later on. I like the fabric much better on the 6 needles. I don't know why I couldn't have come to that realization a few weeks ago instead of 2 feet later.

So the boy is done with the swimming for now. The program starts up again in June. I'm leaning towards signing him up again for it. He seemed to really enjoy it and it's fairly inexpensive. I did a bit of cruising around on the nets this morning for any other summer activities/programs that I could sign him up for but it seems that a lot of the sites aren't ready to list what they will have yet.

I'm a bit relieved to having Saturday mornings back to myself again. Sounds selfish, don't it? I just love the early a.m. trips to the farmer's market so much and going at 11 a.m. is not ideal. All the good things are already gone. Case in point strawberries at the Dirty Girl stand.
Wow! I got one, I really, really got one! No I just need to figure out how nifty this place is. Whee!
