I think Spring is my favorite season. I think it's the most "hopeful", uplifting season. The days are a bit warmer, a bit longer (thank you daylight savings time, why do we ever go off daylight savings time?). Easter is in the Spring, a time to turn and think of all the wonderful things our Savior has done for us (which we should do always, but Easter is an appropriate time for an emphasis...). We can repent of old shortcomings and start fresh.
I find myself very thankful at this time in my life. I am so thankful for my family who has done so much for me as of late. There is no way I can repay them for everything that has been done for us. So, All I can say is "Thank you"!!! (you all know who you are...). I am thankful for new friends that have been so welcoming. It's nice to know that I am surrounded by such wonderful, kind people.
I am also full of hope. Matt has started his new career, and though tough right now in many ways, the sky is the limit! He is such a hard worker I can't feel anything but hope for our future. I have much hope for things to come, things that we have been wanting for for so long (no news yet, but please keep praying for us).
I am excited to be unpacking all my boxes and organizing my new home (unpacking is SO much better that packing). It's been fun to put everything in it's new place, especially knowing that it will stay there quite a while. My back yard is full of baby blades of grass! I can't wait til it's fully in (even though that means tons more yard work than we have been used to). All the blossoms are beginning to pop out on all the trees (I really need to take a couple photos, they are beautiful out here!). So far I really love living in North Carolina (except that I am SO FAR AWAY from my family, I miss you guys TONS!).
I apologize for my ramblings, but I just wanted to share what was in my heart. I hope you all enjoy this Spring season!
