Summary:
The Double Lunch was the name of the fictional venue where a double billing of bands played in every episode of The Pink Opaque. It was also the name of a popular online community for fans of the show during the years it was on the air. Through interviews with former posters and an exploration of its archives, this work attempt to re-create a history of the show and the fandom that surrounded it.

I'm not sure that I can adequately describe the impact
I Saw the TV Glow had on me the first time I saw it in the theater, but I can say it was one of my very favorite things to discover this year, and I'd already watched it at least a couple more times before even getting my assignment. I was thrilled to receive Poetry's prompts for it, which let me spend some time with the canon and with fandom history in general, and thrilled at the reception it got.
The rest of the year leading up to Yuletide, it looks like I also wrote exactly one story.
