Patty the Snowman
I must say that my kids have the best Dad in the whole entire world. Garrett is so good to spend the majority of his time (when he's not at work) with our kids. I love this Quality he has. He isn't on his lap top, watching ESPN, or picking his nose. He litterally spends his time with our kids. I love this about him. On Halloween day...him and Tylie went out to play in the snow. And to my surprise "Patty" was born!!!
Halloween Party for Koen!
I decided to throw a Halloween Party for our friends little boy. Here is the Story: We met the Slaveks when we lived in our Oakwood home. They were driving by-looking for a park and just happened to stop and asked me. They said they were From CA and were looking for places to live. (Rent/Buy) Of course, being the salesman that I am I invited them in (hoping to make the sale). We visited for a while and exchanged numbers. We were hoping to have our kids go to the same pre-school. I never really heard from the Slavek's for months. When we were moving I came across Lindsey's Phone number and I decided to call and make small talk when she broke the news about Koen (3 years old) and his new Trial with Cancer. She told me some of the story and I hope I get it right but it all started like this:
The Slaveks started their move from CA when Lindsey felt prompted to stop in Elko Nevada and have Koen looked at. He had a High Fever and was just really sick. Luckily there happened to be a Pediatric Doctor from New York who specialized in something like this. They ended up life-flighting Koen to SLC to Primary Childrens Hospital and then Flying him to Denver to Childrens Hospital. (Sorry Linds if I get some of this wrong.) Being between jobs...they of course did not have insurace coverage. His tumor was so large that it was pushing so hard on all of his other organs almost causing his heart to stop beating. Koen has been undergoing treatment ever since the Slaveks moved to Colorado in July.
Garrett and I ran into the Slavek Family one night at Target. Of course, we were all looking for Halloween costumes and came to conclude that Koen wouldn't be in the hospital on Halloween. Well that all changed when Koen's health was doing so well that the Doctors wanted to proceed with Surgery on October 30th. With this new and knowing that now Koen would miss it-I decided to throw a Kid Halloween party at my house with a bunch of different families! THANKS TO ALL OF THOSE WHO CAME TO THE PARTY TO SUPPORT ME IN PROVIDING A FUN PARTY FOR THE KIDS!

Karli was a huge help with pulling off the party. She came and helped me get games together-Prizes together-and help me get my crap together!!! I love Karli! Thanks Kar!
The Ravsten Family!
Melinda and Jason Rhees! Isn't she a babe!

Slade and Easton!

Our Last few months
What a crazy last few months we've had. Just to list a few:
- We Sold our house in June. Closed on the 24th of July
- Found a rental property for 2 months while waiting for our new build to be completed the end of September.
- During our awesome Rental experience-I was playing in a Volleyball Tourney in Breckenridge Colorado (2's Tourney/Grass) and tore my ACL completely. Surgery needed.
- Our Landlord sold the Rental house the middle of September. (Keep in mind we couldn't close on our home until the 29th of Sept)
- So OFF to find another place to live and a whole other move too. We used the rental garage as a storage unit...Now I guess a storage unit or a POD?
- We used both a friends garage and rented a POD. What a pain in the ROYAL
- We have some Awesome friends who live in Larkspur Colorado so we stayed with them for the two weeks we were waiting to move into our new home. They were very generous in letting us stay in their beautiul mansion of a home. We love you Grandma Lyd and Grandpa George.
- We finally closed on our new house and we love it. Still trying to get out of boxes and getting things organized.
- A HUGE THANKS TO ALL OF THOSE WONDERFUL PEOPLE WHO HELPED WITH THE MOVING 10 TIMES-BRINGING IN HELP WHILE I WAS DOWN WITH MY INJURY-AND ALL THE LOVING SUPPORT WE HAVE RECIEVED FROM OUR DEAREST FRIENDS AND FAMILY! WE LOVE YOU ALL!
