CANON POINT: near the beginning of the fourth book, 'city of fallen angels', after he's discovered that he and clary aren't actually siblings, he discovers the truth about his own heritage and past regarding his father and his family lineage, etc. but lately he's been getting these really weird, really terrible visions of stabbing his one true love ...

INCENTIVE/FIT: he's been suffering from a lot of really bad, creepy dreams lately. mostly those involving his girlfriend clary, in which he's often seen stabbing her with a seraph blade or any other weapon he can get his hands on. why the violence? why these awful dreams? they always feel like they're outside of his own body, like he's got no control over what he does anymore ...

and it's killing him. in exchange for cuddling up the city, he'd really like for these dreams to stop and for the ability to regain control over himself again ... in his dreams, and if it somehow gets to it, into his real life. thankfully these visions haven't translated into his waking life but it is a fear of his.

he would actually consider being here kind of a relief, a reprieve while he sorts himself out. in that regard, i think he'd do pretty well in eudio. he's actually got a reputation for being a pretty charming individual and while he doesn't exactly treat most of his relationships with any kind of seriousness, if someone's in for a good time, jace is your guy. he's good at a party, he's hot in a make-out, and despite his tendency to be kind of a jerk at times, he's respectful when things are getting hot and heavy. just don't count on him calling you a few days later.

ANYTHING ELSE? given that jace is a shadowhunter (basically a demon hunter and protector of normal humans from said demons) and born a nephilim (part angel, part human), he possesses all the abilities of any half-human/half-angel, including the ability to use special rune marks which can be drawn on their skin using a tool called a 'stele'. some rune marks are permanent and don't need to be redrawn over again, but other runes (such as the Healing rune, iratze must be reapplied when needed. the rune marks all leave scars behind, and they look like thin, white spidery tattoos across his skin.

he has naturally enhanced strength, agility, and dexterity because it's in his blood. he is also a little extra special, because his 'father' (michael wayland who is actually valentine morgenstern) had done experiments on him during his infancy, feeding him (through his birth mother, celine herondale) an extra dose of angel blood ... and thusly, his aforementioned abilities are a little more enhanced, and also include jumping ridiculous heights and landing on his feet without shattering every bone in his body.

he is skilled in the shadowhunter fighting style, he knows several languages (romanian, latin, ancient greek, english, italian), he can play the piano, enjoys reading, and is left-handed.

he's still mortal, and he's still human - therefore, he's still prone to everything human beings can suffer from: illness, chill, heatstroke, old age, death, etc. he is also not invincible, so a stronger and more skilled warrior could probably kick his ass and if he's not careful, they can absolutely kill him.

he has a whole lot of trauma and personality flaws and probably a couple of chips on his shoulder. but get past those walls he's built to fortify himself, and he's really a nice guy. and once you gain his trust and manage to keep it, he's a friend for life.

also! note:

it'd be great if he could have access to his weapons (a couple of seraph blades) and his stele (the tool used to draw rune marks on) but only because they tend to be on his person at all times. he won't use them (promise!) if he doesn't have to, and he'll be super careful about even having them, maybe even getting rid of them completely once he discovers clary is in eudio too ... ha ha ha ... but at the very least it'd be great to have his stele around. it's not a weapon but more like a special ... pen ... so yeah.

i understand completely re: the blades, but i'd love to have access to his stele. thank you!
