The idea for #DersCoreRadio came to me when I was out for a walk with headphones in on a warm summer’s day years ago. My phone, in my pocket, unlocked, took a photo in the Instagram app, applied the “Rio de Janeiro” filter, and this is the image that came out:
I thought it the most beautiful thing I’d ever seen, and thought to myself… “One day, I’ll make a brand out of that.” So that is what I’m doing.
My older brother, whose music collection I grew up sifting through, once sent me a song via text, with a caption reading, “This is DersCore.” I thought it a fitting name to remind me of him, and of all my family, whom I love dearly. The culmination of an ever-changing lifetime of music love, a search for a natural, creative catharsis, and a deep-seeded need to be centered and rooted in Tunage — I do hope you enjoy the ride!
