Hello!!

I can't believe we are already half way through 2011 and this is my first post! Here are some pictures to highlight what we've been doing so far this year.

Eva turned 4 in February. We went to Build A Bear and the girls were dressed as princesses. It was fun walking through the mall, everyone was commenting on how cute they were. I can't believe my baby is four!

We also got reacquainted with the beach!

ImageFor Spring Break we went to the bay area to visit Vama's mom and stayed with his cousin Yvonne and her husband Peter. I fell in love with San Francisco. I totally want to move there, the weather was amazing, the ocean was beautiful and the city was amazing. I really need to go back and spend more time there.

This was in Santa Cruz, such a cute town!

And...we moved into our own house!!!!! We are SO excited to have our own space again. We live across the street from our church and the girls get to ride their bikes in the parking lot. We also have neighbors with kids the same ages as ours. It's been great. So, if anyone wants to visit us in Utah we have space for you to stay now!

And what's so hilarious is that about two weeks after we moved in someone from the city came by and gave us a beautification award! LOL Vama told the lady we weren't even the one's who did all of the work, but they didn't care, so now I have to work hard to keep it up!

ImageAnd just a couple of shots of the girls in their cute polka dots...they kinda look like Minnie Mouse with those bows...

So, thanks for checking in on us again...I can't promise I will update soon, but I want to be better at this and I will try!

Christmas Pictures

I have so many pictures I'm going to have to go through and edit so they can be posted. But, until that happens, here are some pictures from the Christmas card photo shoot.

I had to threaten them between each shot. I had promised them slushies if they were good. It took WAY too long to get any good shots, they totally didn't deserve slushies. Right now we are still enjoying a full house of company. Jenny, Chuck and Tre are here from Arizona and Aly and Jaxson are here from Texas (and trying to convince me to move there :) We'll see if that happens.

And the most exciting news of the year, I FINALLY got Eva's Christmas stocking finished. It only took three years...you can read more about that here if you wish :) I spent 5 hours on Christmas Eve (while simultaneously cooking 8 quiches) just doing her name. I was seriously cursing myself for giving her such a long name. Here is the result of my three years of hard work:Image

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas

I can't believe Christmas is already here again. Time sure does fly when you don't know what's going on. My mom's house is always even more beautiful at Christmas time. For the past week or so she has been directing us around the house with various decorations. We were finally able to get the tree up and all decorated today. I think it turned out perfectly.

ImageJust like last year, Mallina and Eva's favorites were the little Madame Alexander dolls :)

ImageAnother great thing about Christmas are the pretty Christmas dresses in which we get to dress up the girls. We tried to take some family pictures on Sunday after church. The lighting wasn't good...but here we are in all our glory. And before you think it, or comment; yes, that Large Marge in need of a dye job and new hair style is me. Oy.

Mallina's front teeth are coming in nicely, and she still has that cute space in between them <3

Par-tay!

One of Mallina's friends had the coolest birthday party ever. There were 8 little girls who all arrived in tights and leotards and they had to do different things to earn different parts of their fairy costumes. There was a fairy godmother there and everything! The girls had so much fun, I just had to share some pictures :)

AAANNNDDD...Vama is a citizen! His dad was here for a few days and got to attend the swearing in ceremony, which was very cool. No more money spent on immigration fees, woohoo!

Pictures like this should inspire me to make some life changes.
And seriously, why can't my girls look at the camera?

Happy Halloween!!

Oh heavens, it has been an embarrassingly long time since I've updated this thing...but here are some Halloween pictures. Some day I may get around to updating more, I've got some nice fall pictures of the leaves changing colors! But for now, here are my beautiful princesses.

Hey battah battah battah battah....

saaawing battah! (Ferris Bueller anyone?)
Mallina did T-Ball this summer, and it was pretty hilarious. She ended up on a team that only had one boy and 10 girls. Most of the girls were from her primary class and it was a lot of fun. They spent a lot of time playing choochoo train in the field, and running up and down the hill while waiting to bat. My little southpaw did pretty well out on the field and up to bat. Baseball is a slow game by nature so at times she said she was kinda bored. Soccer starts next week, I don't think she'll get bored with that :) Poor Eva was dying to play too, we even bought her a mitt to play with, she will have her chance next year. Here are some pictures from her last game.

Hopefully she will like soccer too...I have a feeling that will be just as entertaining as T-Ball was.
