Legends, spring, cloud minds
Last night was quite fun. Even with some frustrating moments it was still an overall nice experience. Met a couple new people, shared ideas and bad hunor. Hopefully was able to give information on grants/scholarships that I have seen to someone who could actually receive the art finances.I still feel edgey about watching my friend drink, it could be his personality is more social than mine that I see him acting as an asshole at times. But it really could be that I am quite reserve in public and his characteristics just are not my way of handeling people.
Still no word on my latest try for work. It is a caribou coffee shop but it is tips and most of all, it is work. Getting my hand tattoed a decade ago may have its issues now, especially with employment but even through this trying time, I am still fond of the work. Its abstract swirls and forms change and represent other issues in my life and I grow older, a nice change from the standard highly defined object works.
The stasisfield show is going well, it makes me feel somewhat out of water with my own work next to people who actually make money creating works. Having work next to Chris Randall (Sister machine Gun) is an ego boost (in a childish way) AND leaves me feeling out of place. Yea, I repeated the same issue twice...oh well. I know I spotted one LJ user at the bar but I made a quick and shy decision to stay in my little corner. After closing I found that another LJ user was there as well but had missed the chance to be formal and introduce myself.
The girl is quite sick today, so I have set her up with the ruby curtains drawn and this wonderful spring wind covering her as she naps the illness away.
