Golf is a game that has been around for centuries. Its origin dates back to the 15th century in Scotland, where golfers used to hit a pebble with a stick or club around the sand.

The first golf ball was made from the sap of a tree and was invented in 1848 by Reverend Adam Paterson, while the dimple pattern was first added to the ball in 1905 when the manufacturer William Taylor gave the modern form to golf balls.

Golf had its first standardized rules in 1774, which were used in the first golf championship, held in Edinburgh, Scotland. The golf clubs evolved with the golf balls, going from a wooden stick to the current equipment existing today, which are clubs made from diverse materials. The golf bags, on the other hand, were only created in the 1880s, while the motorized first golf car was seen in the 1960s.
