Inspiration
When we took a look at the variation of AP and Dual-Credit enrollment in different states, we found some potential in what we could tell about the data.
How we built it
We used PostgreSQL to manage our data, and the pandas library in Python to plot our graphs.
Challenges we ran into
Figuring out H O W to use SQL specifically with PostgreSQL was certainly a challenge for all of us. Data wrangling was without a doubt the most difficult challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
As the night progressed, we slowly but surely made small improvements in data wrangling and being able to use it to create our graphs and to be able to tell our story.
What we learned
We learned a lot about SQL, specifically PostgreSQL. We also expanded our knowledge in Python when we were plotting our graphs.
What's next for 11:59 Warriors
What's next for the data analysis would be to compare more and more aspects dealing with socioeconomic factors of the students in Red vs Blue states.
