Inspiration
We thought Khan Academy does some amazing things, but it's not personal enough. It only has some topics, and for many people they want to do things that are special for them.
What it does
We use Google's Gemini AI to create lessons that you can type in what you want, and Academic AI will give you back a series of lessons that are easy to understand and formatted nicely. Because most LLMs just give you back raw text with no formatting, it can be hard to navigate and understand. We fix this by making nice, formatted lessons you can understand.
How we built it
We used Svelte 4 with SvelteKit and FlowbiteUI and the Google Gemini API to create a clean website that is easy to use and navigate.
Challenges we ran into
Interfacing with AI is hard, we had to be very specific when asking Gemini about the topics our users are researching, making sure Gemini uses Markdown and puts information in a consistent data structure.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We were able to collaborate and problem solve really well.
