Inspiration:

AleoLend was inspired by the need to provide accessible uncollateralized loans in a secure and privacy-focused manner, leveraging zkID technology.

What it does

AleoLend offers uncollateralized loans using zkID NFT. The ID is issued from the issuer where it connects borrowers with liquidity pools and provides a mechanism for debt liquidation through debt collectors. Borrowers' IDs are only revealed to the winning debt collector if they can't repay the loan.

How we built it

We built AleoLend by combining cutting-edge zkID technology with smart contract development. Our team of developers and blockchain experts collaborated to create a secure and efficient lending protocol.

Challenges we ran into

While developing AleoLend, we faced challenges related to:

  • zkID Implementation: The previous zPass Issuer Contract is not made for zkID NFT, so we had to make our own implementation of issuer program using NFT standard from Demox Labs.
  • Asset holding at Liquidity Pool: Finding ways to have liquidity pool program holding assets was merely impossible, but with some reference of AleoSwap, we were able to use wrappers around the token assets to have it working for us.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're proud of successfully creating AleoLend, a pioneering uncollateralized loan protocol that prioritizes user privacy and security. Our achievement lies in making decentralized finance more accessible and trustworthy.

What we learned

During the development of AleoLend, we learned valuable lessons about zkID technology, blockchain development, and the importance of user data privacy in the DeFi space. These insights have shaped our approach to future projects.

What's next for AleoLend

The future of AleoLend involves further enhancements and expansion. We plan to refine the user experience, integrate additional features, and explore partnerships to broaden the availability and utility of uncollateralized loans through zkID. Our aim is to continue innovating in the decentralized finance sector.
