How it works
The system is a proximity based alert system. An administrator chooses a location to send an alert to and people within a smaller radius of that location receive different notifications than people who are far from the location.
Challenges I ran into
The biggest challenge was filtering notification type by location.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
I'm proud that we were able to complete the location based notification system on time.
What I learned
We learned a lot about push notifications and how to make easy to use UI's.
What's next for AlertU
We want to expand on the system by changing the alert types and giving better integration between UK police and the Lexington police department. We also want to add a user system and
