Our trading algorithm ensures that the we only trade when there is profit for us by continuously calculating the theoretical ask and bid of the basket and comparing them to the current actual situation at the exchange. We then act on a detected difference, if it surpasses a threshold.

GO MARKET MAKING!
By statistically predicting the markets volume trends, we become market makers. Every algorithm cycle we recompute the median of the available trading volume history and use this as the desired volume metric for our limit orders. This gives us a good middle ground for how much volume we should supply while limiting our exposure to extreme fluctuations of our positions.
The price is deterministically calculated by substracting the smallest step from the current best ask and by adding the smallest step to the current best bid, if there is a large enough spread.

Our algorithm eliminates unnecessary market risk thanks to hedging. By limiting the term basket_volume + stock1_volume + stock2_volume we moderate our own risk exposure while still allowing us some flexibility.
