Inspiration
Ankkita's dog died in hope of some urgent medical attention which was not provided due to busy schedules and distance from the medical facility. If at all there was a domestic remedy she could have done to last his life for a little long till the medical help is there, he would have been here today. We plan if not to eliminate these situations, at least minimize it.
What it does
It brings together all the doctors and patient in need of urgent attention via a website where doctors all over the world can provide consultation over video chat in case something can be done by the patient or the people near him and professional help is far away. Doctors can be any where in the world in any timezone.
How we built it
We used JSP and servlets concepts to develop a website over local server.
Challenges we ran into
Employing video call channel over a web application.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We almost complete the website which now can collect and show the patient's data to the doctors in just 30 hours. We are still to employ the video call functionality.
What we learned
Java is a powerful too when in right hands.
What's next for AlwaysOnCall
Video call feature, chat engine and virtual medical advisor.
