Inspiration
We were inspired to solve the issues that plague today's shopping environment, such as real estate costs, inventory shortages, and wasted products
What it does
Our product essentially creates a feature where users are able to upload augmented reality images of the product they bought and received and give a realistic review of the product. This will result in building better customer and company relationships as well as help reduce wasteful products by discontinuing low-rated products. Furthermore, a rewards system based on customer reviews will help improve company sales overall and keep customers satisfied.
How we built it
The prototype of our website was made through Figma and our website is designed through HTML5, CSS, and Javascript. Our backend, which will be able to track rewards points and also convert videos to AR experiences, will be developed using Etherium blockchain and Tensorflow respectively.
Challenges we ran into
This was our first-time using Figma to prototype websites so this was a challenge in working with a powerful but complex application. Overall, the time restraint was quite tight for us trying to implement a full-fledged backend and frontend to our website.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of creating a presentation of our project that fully captures the features of our product. Also, we're proud to have come up with a unique and applicable product.
What we learned
Throughout this Hackathon, we learned many aspects of product management and UAT.
What's next for AReward
We project to fully implement the augmented reality system as well as the blockchain aspect for our points system.
