💭 Inspiration

What if you could change the world around you... deleting existing buildings and inserting ANYTHING you could imagine, architecting the environment that surrounds you.

🤯 What it does

Arcki lets you travel the world with our 3d globe, exploring any building/scenery you want. But we take it a step further.

Think a particular building is ugly? Delete it and replace it with a 3d model of your choice... all in our interactive map. Choose to either upload your own glb file or you can generate one with our custom 3d generator. Simply describe what you want, choose a style, and we'll return you a 3d model alongside 4 different view perspectives of the model.

This is just one use case. Arcki is for anyone with a mind of their own. If you have a vision for the world, bring it to life, whether that'd be making the world more sustainable or replacing ugly scenery with beautiful models.

😮‍💨 Other cool features:

  • change the weather and time of day
  • built-in gizmos for all 3d models, allowing you to rotate/move objects with ease
  • library and asset manager panel for all 3d models, allowing you to save models and manage them

👷🏽‍♂️ How we built it

The frontend consists of MapBox and Next.js. Mapbox provides the beautiful globe and map, allowing us to create a beautiful interface.

The backend uses Dall-E, Trellis, Python, Redis, and PostgreSQL. We used this stack to build a pipeline to generate 3d models from text inputs. The user prompts, Dall-E creates 4 perspective images (top, down, front, side), which then gets sent to Trellis, creating a 3d model.

Redis and PostgreSQL is for cacheing and saving the 3d models so that these generations never go to waste.
