Inspiration

We are trons looking for both hardware and software experience

What it does

This is essentialy a full gaming console. An arduino is used as the controller, which feeds its data to a Raspberry Pi, which runs the game and sends is to a monitor for display. We programmed a tanks game to demonstrate the system.

How we built it

We connected several LEDs, buttons and a joystick on a breadboard mounted on cardboard to form a gaming controller. The circuitry was controlled by an Arduino which communicated over a serial cable to a Raspberry Pi, where the majority of the programming was done.

Challenges we ran into

Eduroam Creating classes based on sprites Collisions with walls

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Wonderful GUI, sturdy controller with strong integration of electronics for both inputs and outputs to create an immersive and thrilling experience

What we learned

Python Pygame Serial Communication Github Basic Linux

What's next for Atari 2.0
