AutoLite

Inspiration

One of the group member grandma is visually impared and he wanted to help her.

What it does

Our product the, AutoLite is a device that detects motion and turns on a light. When the motion detector is triggered a light is turned on and when motion is not detected the device turns off the light.

How I built it

We used arduino's to bulid it and we used sketch (arduino software) to program it.

Challenges I ran into

Getting the sensor to sense light properly as well as getting the led to respond to the sensor and calibrating the sensor to the right sensitvity.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We overcame all our challenges and did it with amazing teamwork.

What I learned

I learned a lot about arduino's, python and javascript.

What's next for AutoLite

Make it more compact, user friendly and affordable.
