Inspiration
The ability to make the manual process of looking at seeds and separating them, automatic is a growing need.
What it does
Our mobile application allows the grower to be able to quickly scan and analyze which seeds are usable for further production using photos.
How we built it
Runs on Android on the mobile end. Photos and data are stored on Google's Firebase database. Image processing is done on a computer using Matlab/Python.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Demo app and basic image processing are complete.
What's next for Barlyzer
- Improve detection methods various types of Barley diseases
- Better analysis of collected data
- Scale communications for multi-user deployment
