Inspiration

The problem that we identified stemmed from our founding lead, Glo, she has 5+ years of experience in GTM and advising startups on the subject. Based on her experience, 80% of sales and outreach efforts could have been automated. That said, this provides a prime opportunity to hack on a sales tech tool.

What it does

Thus, we built a consumer-grade solution that could get approved officially by Google Chrome Extension past this weekend's Hackathon @ HF0. We believe in meeting our users where they are.

Applying the first principles within design thinking framework, that is 'empathy', we realized that most SDR's and BDR's working at B2B SaaS companies are already occupied with their existing CRM tools such as Salesforce, Hubspot, Outreach.io, and Gong. That said, we created an layer-2 solution that works as an AI API on top of their existing CRM. Identifying their hot leads from their CRM, we are able to scrape data off of our users' LinkedIn profile and initialize the warmest possible cold outreach to all the leads.

Challenges we ran into

  • Limited time, so we have to reduce all the "nice have" features down to the "must have" only.
  • Staying focus and motivated throughout the project due to "shiny object syndrome"

Accomplishments that we're proud of

A. The fact that we survived without sleep in the last 26 hours. B. Combined, amongst all of us 4, we have won 10+ Global Hackathons. C. As a team, we have visited 100+ countries total. 2/4 are digital nomads. D. We're able to breathe and produce a mindful string of sales cadence for bdev.ai. E. That said, as bladerunners, we're proud to ship a consumer-grade product over 1 weekend!

What we learned

1) Communication is very important. Prioritizing product's features, understanding what the customers may want, and dividing tasks between all of us are crucial in shipping product with demand relevancy, accuracy, quality, and good timing. 2) Technical understanding is important as AI now can help us augment our code and make us ship faster. It is even able to do QC on our behalf! However, technical skills and competence are still necessary - AI cannot do everything. We need to have a strong foundational skills and knowledge.

What's next for Bdev.ai by The Bladerunners Team

What differentiates us from regie. ai and other players in the industry is that our interface does not require our users to log into a separate dashboard. Rather, our AI API work without fail meeting them where they are, whether it's LinkedIn, HubSpot, or other CRMs, we are always there to guide our B2B SaaS company's sales team to perform well through our sales intelligence and insightful outreach--every step of the way. Thus, the next step from here and on is to secure at least 100 interested B2B clients to sign contract and run further pilot with us. Our goal is to build a seamless AI UX and a strong community of B2B SaaS + Enterprises that love us extremely deeply.
