Transmitters in multi-antenna RF wireless communication systems require high degrees of synchronization and often suffer from significant dissipative losses

What it does

How we built it

A laser transmits the 6GHz signal to each chip-antenna network in an array. Our 180nm chip houses a photodiode, transimpedance amplifier, phase shifter, and power amplifier. This connects to a PCB that routes power, phase signals, and the patch antennas.
