Inspiration
We are students living in a big city filled with accidents and crime. How can we help reduce these by helping people take safer routes.
What it does
It generates a route from two locations using the safest path possible based on variables found on Montreal's OpenData.
How we built it
We built it using the Dash Plotly library in Python.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into visualisation challenges (showing the heaxagons at the correct coordinates) as well as choosing a good scale and picking colors being able to represent the data in a good manner.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of having been able to build a working dashboard able to help anyone in the city
What we learned
We learned how to deploy a dashboard using python and using libraries like H3 in order to help us use geolocalisation.
