BioFlow - One-Shot Biorhythm Daily Scheduler

Inspiration

I was frustrated with productivity apps that ignore our natural biological rhythms. With hours left in the hackathon, I wanted to bridge cutting-edge chronobiology research with practical daily planning - creating a tool that doesn't just organize time, but scientifically optimizes it based on individual biorhythm profiles.

What it does

BioFlow generates personalized daily schedules using chronobiology research. Users input their chronotype, sleep patterns, caffeine intake, stress levels, and environmental factors. The app creates interactive stacked histogram charts showing optimal activities for each 30-minute interval, provides real-time recommendations, and offers lifestyle optimization tips based on peer-reviewed research.

How we built it

This was designed specifically for the One-Shot Competition. I spent 2 hours researching chronobiology literature, then collaborated with Claude AI to engineer a comprehensive 3,000+ word prompt encoding complex scientific algorithms, complete UI specifications, and responsive design requirements. The entire application was generated with a single prompt submission to Bolt.new - no iterations or revisions. The app runs client-side with pure HTML/CSS/JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was encoding complex chronobiology research into one prompt that could generate a working application without any debugging iterations. I had to anticipate UI needs, balance scientific accuracy with user-friendliness, and translate research papers into implementable algorithms - all upfront with no room for trial and error.

What we learned

What's next for BioFlowDaily

Future enhancements include wearable device integration for real-time biometric data, machine learning to improve recommendations based on user feedback, mobile app development with push notifications, and partnerships with sleep researchers to validate algorithms with larger datasets.
