Inspiration

We built this on Blockstack's March18 hackathon following an idea of a good friend of mine.

What it does

It lets you (safely) log in with a blockstack decentralized id and upload pictures to a distributed and encrypted storage gateway. To share pictures you can exchange keys with friends. All images are asymmetrically encrypted before being shared. You can withdraw the right to read images at anytime for any friend.

How I built it

Our brain developer Timo W did most of the blockstack heavylifting. The most crucial parts are mainly api calls to the blockstack api

Challenges I ran into

getting 7 team members to work on the same thing

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

we actually won the 1st prize with this one :)

What I learned

A lot about distributed storage and blockchain usage. Even more about ReactJS.

What's next for blockstagram

We're not following up this one as team but we for sure would like to answer all questions if you got any.
