Inspiration

I just wanted to have fun and work on an NLP project so I did it was totally a fun experimental project and i love the way it turned that too in just 24-30 hrs of effort.

What it does

it actually could be programmed further to meet the needs of the client, but currently it answers the user's requests as per the question as it understands what exactly that the user wants.

How we built it

We built the chatbot using the NLTK library in Python and made a neural network for it to understand the questions and to display, we made webpages using HTML and CSS as well as a bit of jQuery to post the results onto the page.

Challenges we ran into

The major challenge that we ran into would be to figure out a way to retain the chat history and how to display the bot's output on the page.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We totally made it work within the deadline and moreover in about 24-30 hrs. Also, this being our first MLH hackathon we are proud that we were able to make something like this and submit it here.

What we learned

How to work as a team on a project and to make things work according to us. also, got a good knowledge of NLP and NLTK as well as neural networks.

What's next for Botty, AI chatbot

Further, we would love to improve and hence it by feeding more data so that the model achieves better accuracy and also to improve the frontend part and make it more engaging.
