Braille This

We are taking voice data from Alexa and converting it to 3D printed braille

Inspiration

We want to make it easier and more natural for blind peoples to get information from a braille source

What it does

We have Alexa convert voice data to text data, and from there we have a python script to convert text data to a 3d printable source file

How we built it

2 parts magic, 8 parts determination And a lot of python

Connecting Alexa with our local hosts

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We have live feedback of 3d print files from voice to text with Alexa

What we learned

We learned about the Amazon Web Services tools, Alexa (Flask) and the complications not having braille can make for blind people

What's next for Braille This

Total domination... I mean integration...
